According to this article, and they should know, Scott Bakula will be the captain on the new Star Trek series.

I have always been a big fan of Star Trek, and I was a big fan of Quantum Leap as well. I very much look forward to having Bakula back on TV every week.

On the other hand, I’m beginning to wonder if Paramount has heard the show-biz motto “Always leave 'em wanting more.” As big a fan as I am, even I stopped watching Voyager after a couple of years. I mean … how long are we going to drag this out? Even I, who enjoy a good time-travel tale as much as the next guy, began to get fed up when to have a story to tell, they kept turning the show into Time Trek. Voyager has been particularly egregious in this regard.

Anyway, I just wanted to share. :smiley:

Well, I can’t share your satiation with time travel stories, but then, I can’t get UPN, so I haven’t seen Voyager in years. Truly -> as long as Scott Bakula is in it, they can have him stand there reciting shopping lists and I’ll watch. I guess I’m in the market for pirated UPN series. Sigh.
