I don’t know how I did on them, and dammit, I don’t care!!! My semester long “experiment” (Can Swiddles work a 40 hour work week while taking 9 credits? Let’s find out!) was not a sucess, and I have learned a number of lessons. Mostly about how fantastic I am at pulling information out of my ass.
So how ‘bout you other collegiate types? I somehow had three exams in the first two days of exam week, so I’ll wager most of you aren’t done yet, but are yall hangin’ in? DoctorJ, how did the phys series go?
I feel like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders, and THROWN with great force, at a wall. Ahhhh…
SwimmingRiddles - AAAGH! I can’t help but be a tad bit envious of those people who are already done with their finals. I have one tomorrow at 10:30 AM in French and one Friday at 3:30. The good news is…I’m hanging in there for the Mexican dinner with my mom on Friday and the trip back to Minnesota on Saturday morning. The French one should be fairly easy…knock, knock, knock, and the history TA hates me, so I really don’t care. Woo-hoo! Congrats to you for getting through the semester alive!
I am so jealous of you, swiddles!! I don’t have exams for another two weeks. My last day of classes is the 16th, then I have a soc. prob. exam thursday, a five-page Am.Pol. paper due friday, then my BIRTHDAY sunday (right in the middle of finals, yuck!!), then chem on monday and Am.Lit. and Art Appreciation tuesday. Luckily after art I am on the road. And I have a huge b-day party to look forward to that saturday!
I don’t mind having late exams because we get a 6 week witer break, our first day of fall semester isn’t until february 1, which is awesome - time to work and earn extra money for books and silly stuff like that =).
Like Swiddles, I can pull lots of info out of my ass, and I’ll need it. I have a 20 page paper due on Canada around the 15th, a 5 page paper on the Russian Revolution due the 19th, and a 3 page paper on Grapes of Wrath due next Wednesday. Exams start the 5th of June. I leave for my French exchange trip the 10th. So summer starts the 28th, I think. sigh
I only have one final, but I’m requesting an extension for that class, so I’m hoping the dean will let me put off taking the final. I’ve got one 10-20 page paper to finish, and two 3-4 pagers. So, not too bad.
What’s really stressing me out is the thought of packing up my room! Luckily, there is a storage room in the basement of my house, so stuff that isn’t going home with me for the summer I only have to haul downstairs. However, having moved a number of times over the years, I’ve realized that I always have way more stuff than I think I do, so it takes me a lot longer to pack than I expect. I’ve got until noon on Saturday to clear out of here. Last year, my mother and sister came up to help me move, and sis mistakenly thought I said to leave my CDs here. Aaaaahhhhh!
Three exams over the next two days, including spanish at 9:00 tomorrow morning and for some reason I can’t get to concerned about it. I guess that’s because its an oral exam which means for once I don’t have to write anything. Considering I can’t even write in english but I speak fluent spanish that’s probably a good thing. Good luck to everyone else.
In approximately 58 hours, I will be able to say the same thing. A few hours later, I will be entirely unable to say much of anything, at least not coherently.
Pharmacology was Monday–it was ridiculous, but I think I did well enough. (I’ve finally learned to plan for the ridiculous.) Path oral exam is Thursday, written is Friday. I’m tired of studying, but I think inertia might get me two more days.
I had one final Monday, I have two Wednesday and a final (and three papers due) Thursday night. So, after 8pm on Thursady, I will be finished!!! Taking 15 hours and working 40 hours a week sucks and I will never do it again!
Jeez, guys. We just had MID-TERM exams this week (quarter system). Get down on your knees and devotedly kiss the earth of your respective campuses. The semester system is a beautiful thing and I miss it dearly.
