I Have A Fever A Cowbell MMP

Check the label of the nukelator - the stuff I use says you have to have a couple of dry days after spraying it in order for it to work.

I just finished polishing my granite counters. Holy crap on a cracker, was that a chore!! But that level of my kitchen is now clean. I need to deal with the floor after I rest a bit. Who knew cleaning 500’ of countertops would be such a sweaty chore??? OK, maybe 500’ is a little bit of an exaggeration…

WAKE UP!!!

I don’t know what’s going on between the IRS and our credit union, but *twice *our attempt to pay our taxes electronically failed. I got another letter from them today saying that the second attempt failed. So I’m doing it the old fashioned way - I’m sending them sacks of pennies!!!

OK, not really. I just wrote a check. Honestly, I have no idea why it’s failed twice - it’s the same info I sent to MD and our refund was directly deposited just fine. Anyway, it should get to CT in a could of days and that will be that. I hope. eeeeesh.

**FCD **went to look at/buy a dust collector for his shop. He left his phone at home. OH NOES!!!

I took a nap.

I don’t know why I was so sleepy, but I was.
The stickers are on the truck.

I’m going to put some fish and fries in the oven, then get back to doing some kind of irk.

Is cheesy bread baked with cheese, or is cheese a later addition?

Around here, cheesy bread is pizza dough with just cheese on it, baked till it’s melty. Can’t speak for other parts of the country.

We et an early dindin and we’s both stuffded! ‘Twas soooooooooo good. There is ice cream for later, so we will not starve later this evenin’.

flytrap cheesey bread is baked with the cheese. Tonight’s selection included grated fresh parmesan and mozzarella with garlic. I make cheesey bread with all kinds of cheeses. We like cheesey bread. Oh and the bread was a crusty Eye-talian I bought at the Pubix Sto.

I thank you both.

I just stumbled upon the “Lamont Prize” for Second Best Poetry.

Sitting here waiting for the tornado…

Did my soccer refereeing this morning, then took my afternoon nap and was awoken by the sound of the tornado siren going off. There is some very nasty weather moving through, but it looks like the worst patch is North of me, so hopefully I won’t be going off-line anytime soon.

Back in 2011 a tornado came though about 6-8 miles west of me, took out power lines and we were without power for about a week. Killed about 30 people in the area; tornadoes are not fun things.

Still have a little grocery shopping to do, Publix were missing several items I wanted, so it the weather settles down I’ll try to get out and obtain them. Or maybe tomorrow.

Thanks again for all the kind thoughts on my conversion to a gentleman of leisure.

metal mouse, I remember that tornado. I took a pick up down to help a friend clean the downed trees out at his place. Stay safe!

The renovations have finally ended at irk. I celebrated by having a Guinness tonight.

MetalMouse if I were you, I’d pass up the Pubix Sto’ until tomorrow. If for no other reason, it would require puttin’ on real pants.

BigKitty enjoy the Guiness. Next up, the renovation of the renovations.

I’ve got that “eyelash stuck under my eyelid” irritation feeling, and it just won’t go away.

I am marinating steaks, but the family decided burgers tonight, so burgers it was. Steak tomorrow night.

Daughter is having that existential crisis when you realize you cannot achieve perfection. Her solution is to not turn in the imperfect work, in this case school work. For some reason, one of her teachers is therefore failing her. We discussed that a “A” or “B” is better than an “F”. We have also discussed that she is 12 and has a long time to work on improving skills. It all falls on deaf ears. I am torn between feeling terrible for her (she feels very upset at her perceived imperfection) and feeling frustrated. I don’t know how to help her. I would not be a teenager again for anything.

Other than the high drama, it’s been a mostly quiet day. I had a milkshake. For some reason, that makes everything a smidgen better. Go ice cream!

Thanks all, the storms missed, quite a bit of thunder-booming, but not even a drop of rain. Did wait until the radar showed in was all clear to visit Kroger and Subway, both missions were fully successful, and the larder is now stocked for May.

I survived work, including the confused blind little old lady ,and the confused uncertain little old lady. I’m making Carabean style fish and quinoa with corn and peppers.

Cheers!

I am marinating my liver.

Moooommmmm!, if it’s too wet for chemical warfare, get a flamethrower.

Up, caffeinated and sheveled. Short 9 hour day today.

WAKE UP PEOPLE!
:stuck_out_tongue:

I had a semi-good night. I woke with coughing fits a couple of times, but overall, I slept long and well. At 7, the eyes popped open and I heard raindrops on the roof, and getting up seemed to be the wise thing to do. I’ve fed Higgs and emptied the dishwasher. **FCD **is still abed. Apart from laundry, it’s gonna be a lazy day. I may even drag out the vacuum and de-hairify the carpets!

Happy Sunday sans sun!

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN 'Tis 70 Amurrkin out and clear with a predicted high of sunny and clear. 'Tis also very hyoooooooomid!

Today’s plans include deheathenization followed by brunch at the church house. We are stoppin’ at the sto’ on the way to buy three gallons of sweet tea plus I made a big dish of mac ‘n cheese. A former Priest is celebratin’ his 50th year as a Priest and will be there to Preach and Celebrate Eucharist. A large crowd is expected. I promised to be there no later than ten this mornin’ to carve a turkey. The things I agree to do!

OK, I need more caffeine and rumbly tummy wants sustenance. Purtification for deheatenization must also commence at some point.

Happy Sunday Y’all!

I’m up, I’m up.

Thunderboomers rolled through last night so I closed the windows. Fluffy Sam was most displeased. She wanted to be a window-sittin’ kitten.

Despite the rain, my sinuses are pounding. Stupid trees.
