Sorry to hear of your loss.
I would second the suggestion (in the time you know is right for you) of the adult cat adoption, if and when you are up to it. I adopted an adult cat some years back and never had a better buddy.

Sorry to hear about Shuppie.
Sorry, Two Few Cats.
Aww, poor Shuppie.
I’m so, so sorry.
So sorry for your loss.
So sorry to hear this, TMC. It sure sounds like Shuppie was an excellent [del]cat[/del]feline overlord and certainly you were the best [del]owner[/del]vassal he could have had.
Sorry for your loss
I still miss my (inventively named) Tabby. She was such a good friend for 21 years. We grew up together, she was there for me through everything. Sometimes I would still like to bury my face in her fur and listen to her purr. Doing that could help me through anything.
I am one lucky human to have had a friend like Tabby, and I bet you are too to have had a Shuppie! Rest in peace Shuppie, you’ve been a good friend!
((hugs)) sorry for your loss TMC
Thank you everyone. Your kind thoughts on this thread have helped me very much. I don’t have very many people that I can talk to in real life, so this message board is a great comfort to me.
Thanks again.
Have you considered a new username? Possibly NotEnoughCats is available.

I know I do…
TMC, I am very sorry for your loss. It is sad to come home to an empty house.
When you are ready, please consider adopting an older cat. She’ll never replace Shuppie, but she can still be your friend.
i’m so sorry. a house is so very quiet with out a furry face.
Sorry to hear about Shuppie.
They do have a way of grabbing hold of you, don’t they?
There must be a coding error in this thread, the text keeps blurring on me.
I’m sorry you had to let your cat go, it’s never an easy decision to make. Give yourself time to grieve. Sooner or later, a cat will come along and claim you when you’re ready.
I so understand how you must feel. Our pets are family, and we can be thankful for the time we had together.
Please accept my heartfelt sympathy for your loss.
Very bad news. My condolences. Losing a companion, regardless of species, is never easy.
I’m so sorry for your loss. It never gets any easier, but making the decision you did is the kindest gift you can make for your furry friend in the end. Sounds like you gave her a good, long life, also a great gift.
So sorry to hear the news. They wiggle their furry little butts into our lives for far too short a time. My sympathies.
