It arrived today - and I have to do things like work and take my daughter up North. Acorn is selling it, no one else looks like they’ll have it until next month and no word on when it will show up on PBS or Netflix that I could find.
At least one of our local PBS stations already has it.
I’m not going to delete is from my DVR schedule after all then. Our PBS station finished season 2 and is showing season 1 again, but I assume will do 3 next.
I got an email today saying it’s available on Netflix.
It is; I just watched the 1st episode last night. It answered one of my major questions about Phryne.
Namely that both of her parents are still alive. I kinda assumed her father was dead since she’s an heiress. Good thing Daddy decided to let her have her share of the money while he was still alive.
FWIW, the books are pretty good too. The TV adaption is very faithful to the books.
Well I just finished episode 8. I’m really hoping ABC renews it for a 4th series. Especially now that…
…Hugh & Dot are married.
I did wonder if…
…Phryne is really flying her father all the way back to England in that little biplane, or just to meet the ocean liner. They’d have to land and refuel at least once a day.
Now what I’d really like to see in season 4 is…
…Phryne and her mother together; especially the latter’s interaction with her sister Prudence.
