MajorMD: I hope your diagnostic ability in endocrinology is better that your evaluation in the total number of points to give. Taking 5 points away from Wally for saying pea brain in one breath and fruit loops in another breath IS contradictory and is not saying anything nasty about Wally.

(1) MajorMD doesn’t receive “a salary.” Like all members of the United States Armed Forces and the other two Uniformed Services, she receives what’s termed “Military Compensation.” Two different things. Seeing as you’re unaware of facts, a further -1 million.
Last things first, Majormoron. I admit that spelling is not my forte. I’m even worse at typing, and of course it shows. But let’s face it, even the most anal-compulsive editor types are not letter perfect when it comes to posting in the SDMB. For example, I’m sure that if you looked real hard, you’d find a few spelling and grammar errors in your post to Skel, the baby doc from hell, late last night. But, then again so what. You made a few goofs. I, for one, am not in a position to grade you down for your spelling and grammar misadventures. Nor do I want to be. I’m more into substance than form. (As an aside, Skel from hell’s post on that topic was “rediculous”.)
I do however, think you’re “wannabeeing” foolish in accusing me of taking “cheap shots” at other posters. In an earlier post in this thread, weren’t you the one who, in defense of the Manhandler’s cheap shots at the worm, told me that this is the PIT, where you’re supposed to use “HYPERBOLE” and be “over-the-top”.
Perhaps you don’t think Manhandler’s wish that another poster die of cancer after first watching his/her family die from flesh-eating disease was a cheap shot. And to think that I was chief of ob/gyn at United States Army Hospital in Munich, Germany for 4 years and not know that my paycheck wasn’t a salary. Y’know, skelton, before I only THOUGHT you were an asshole, but lately you’ve been providing enough evidence to make it stand up in court, on summary judgment, no less.
So a military doc has no right to any time off, is that it? 24/7 she must at the hospital or the clinic, no R & R whatsoever.
It’s taken Sue nearly a year to accumulate 787 posts, which averages out to less than two and a half a day. That’s anywhere between twelve and a half minutes and twenty-five minutes a day. While we understand that that’s about how long it takes you to wipe your ass because of the shit-for-brains pouring out of it, it’s really not that long for somebody to take a break in the course of a day. We understand that you no doubt prefer to spend your time off developing a cure for cancer and leading peace delegations to Bosnia (and still manage to post something over 3.1 posts per day yourself), but the average person likes to have a little “down” time once in a while. And given that I don’t believe that El Paso is under military siege at the moment, I bet that the Army gives her a few hours of R & R once in a while.
Beyond that, Sue has contributed greatly to this board, answering questions from folks concerned or curious about their health and other medical issues. I’ve seen several threads directed to “Sue in El Paso,” looking for – and receiving – real world answers. Haven’t seen any to “the asshole known as skelton4947.”
Melin: and don’t forget that tergive has obviously been just tossing that annual “Comparison of Military Compensation” which his friendly company clerk (my counterpart in the Army) gave him every year. Wonder what else he should’ve been reading but hasn’t?
Mellens: I took a look at your picture at Opal’s Teeming Millions and I feel after seeing it that I don’t feel like adding any more to your misery. No wonder you feel it necessary to defend your friend Sue. Youv’e probably been teased so badly you need a friend to come to your aid.
Noone said that Sue didn’t deserve time off. Nor did I complain about the quality of her posts. I did say that she has time in the morning, aft, all thru the work day to write posts.
I take issue with Tergie. He said you were neglectful of your children( that is a cheap shot). I agree more with Squirrel cub that you are overprotective judging by the way you feel the need to jump in to protect your friend Sue. But as I said, having seen your picture and reading your posts with all your foul language, you don’t have much going for you; therefore I’m not going to resort to the insults that you gave to me or that Turdy gave to you. You can have the last flame if you choose but this back and forth thing is tiresome and a waste of valuable time.
Hmmm, I would like you to show me where Sue posts morning, aft,all thru the work day? Other than weekends and holidays that is. You see, I know that she doesn’t post from work. I also know that she gets up to go to work at 5:30 every morning. I put dinner on the table at 7:30 each night, she is home to eat it at that time about 3 nights out of 5. I suggest you either document these morning aft and all thru the work day posts (which you cannot do, since it doesn’t happen) or you apologise, or you let it lie so everyone can see just what a jerk you really are. I usually don’t get into these things, both Melin and Sue are quite capable of taking care of themselves, but you went a bit too far with this one.

PunDIP: Having read your post above, I slink away with my tail between my legs. By getting into these things when Sue and Melin can ably take care of themselves, you blew it.
I can’t apologise because I am only familiar with the term apologize.
Be as it may, I must compliment you on your ability to cook, work, and find aluminum cans all day. How much can you get for them in El Paso? If you move out to California you can also collect plastic bottles. I’m told you can 2 1/2 cents a bottle. If you search the parks and trash cans, you can make over 2-3 dollars a day if you are lucky.
Skelton, we understand that YOU don’t understand the concept of a friend coming to the defense of another friend who is being attacked by an asshole. For you to understand that, you would have to know what a friend is, and it’s hard to know that when you don’t have any. Looking in the mirror should give you a pretty good idea of what an asshole is, though.
Our recent exchanges have been fun, but for me, coming to the Pit is something I do occasionally to blow off a little steam, not my primary SDMB experience.
I have seen evidence on threads in GQ & MPSIMS that you can post constructively, and if you care to, make the kind of virtual friends that will cause you to step in & post in someone’s defense or have someone do the same for you. Or you can continue to claim the role as self-righteous outsider and make your whole MB persona someone railing against the “evil regs”, but I’ll warn you, it’s been done before & got old pretty fast.
