I just got the best news ever!!!!!!!!!!!

My Mom is OK!
She is OK, I still cant beleive it, I dont know what to do, I want to throw up, I want to, and did, cry. I feel like squeeling and jumping around.

Mom is ok…

She just called me, she just visited the oncologist. She was supposed to start the next round of chemo this week. She had tons and TONS of tests and scans and xrays this past week, and the doctor told her that they didnt need to treat it anymore . He warned her that “it will come back ‘someday’…” and he sent her home.

She is happily planning her new start…eating healthy, exercise, rest…oh god, I am not gonna lose her!

I want to thank you all SO much for all your good wishes, I cant help but think it must have helped in some cosmic way.

I know the cancer will come back for her someday…but TODAY, right now, at this moment, my Mom is OK.

MY MOM IS OK!!!

WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

Kelli… I am so happy for you. I too have a very sick mom. My heart has always gone out to you. HUG!!!

That’s great news, Kel. Congrats!!!

I’ve learned that if someone says something unkind about me, I must live so that no one will believe it.

snifff Mere words cannot convey the deep sense of joy I feel at your news. So ecstatic for you, Kelli!

sigh I miss you, Mom. Every day.

Don’t make me come down there.
God

I still love you Kelli. I am very happy that everything is alright. Is that why Angkins lost contact with you for a short period of time last week (that infernal chat!)? Treat yourself and your kids to some delicious cookies and treasure all the time that you have with your mother.

Oh Congratulations kelli! I love you. And your Mom!

Glad to hear it!

Kelli–

I remember when you first told us about your mom. I told you the story of my grandfather, who was given three or four months to live with colon cancer back in 1990, and is still alive today. At the time it didn’t seem as if there was much hope for him, just as it was with your mom. But he’s fine now, and for all the doctors saying that the cancer would come back, it never has.

I hope the same is true for your mom. I know how much you’ve been through lately, and I’m glad your prayers have been answered. Maybe, because of this, some hip-hop star, somewhere, will sell a few less albums.

sniff

Ah, good news all 'round. My father just got through a bout of bladder cancer, and thankfully after removing his bladder, they found no trace of cancer anywhere else, so no chemo, no radio, nothing (well, except the inconvenience of two surgeries and not having a major internal organ and whatnot).

Congrats, kelli - I know exactly how you feel!

Ask the Gay Guy!

kelli,

does this mean you can devote more of your time to praying for hip-hop?

Kelli,
That is BY FAR the best news I’ve heard in months. I couldn’t be happier for you! When I saw the thread title, I had a feeling that this was the news. I’m SO glad I was right!
Sending you a big hug,

Voted “Most Empathetic”- can you believe that?

That is the best news I have heard in a while, kelli, congratulations!!

I’ll buy that for a dollar.

Fantastic news Kells. I’m so happy for you and your mom. I hope everything keeps getting brighter for you.

a beautiful red steam shovel.
Her name was Mary Anne.

Well, that just brightened my day by a whole lot.

Congratulations, kelli! There isn’t much else in the world that’s better than knowing your loved ones are going to be with you a little bit longer.

Congrats to your mom and you and your entire family! What a wonderful day!

Wow, Kellibelli, what a roller coaster all this has been for you.

Glad for this outcome, and glad you shared it with us.

That’s the most wonderful kind of news you can get. Keep her healthy and cherish the time.

Rah!

. . . If you’re going to throw up and jump around, don’t do them at the same time, though.

Oh my god. Oh kelli!

I haven’t even read the whole thread, I just read your OP, and I had to tell you that I’m crying for you. Oh, thank heavens!

Wow. This is so great, I don’t even know what to say.
