I cried about every 15min, including the hour before it watching Dateline. Right now my eyes are burning and my throat hurts.
But that telethon was, quite simply, amazing.

Actually, I thought Mariah did okay on her song, and I liked it that she wasn’t screeching a bunch during it.
OK, I don’t know anything about contemporary music but I’d have to say that (1) I was really impressed by Eddie Vedder. He’s in Pearl Jam, right? and (2) neither of the two guys singing the Pink Floyd cover (Fred Durst and ?) can carry anything remotely resembling a tune between them. I’ve seen Paint Your Wagon and Mr. Eastwood is a better singer.
Question. Who was the guy singing by himself w/the acoustic guitar, no backup singers or musicians? He sang a song about getting all filthy in the mud love or some such. I really liked him too.
All in all, a very impressive show. And I’d buy the CD, too.
If I’m remembering the right segment, it was Sela Ward and Jane Kaczmarek (“Malcolm in the Middle”).

I believe that was Dave Matthews. BTW, did anyone else just feel sick over seeing Ali in such a state? He was one of my heroes as a kid.

Yep, that was Dave Matthews, going solo for the moument, he usually performs with the band.
I did notice that of all of the egos on that show, the only one that used the words “I” or “me” was Mariah.

They’re broadcasting it here in Sweden now, an I just want to know who it was singing somthing like All we need is… in a falsetto kinda voice, right before Conan and Jessica Parker (?) and then Wyclef.
