I just played World of Warcraft for the first time.

Hah, Tisi you just made me snort Dr. Pepper through my nose. Those remarks apply to my situation too. :o  Thanks for mentioning about the patch to lock picking too. I’m getting itchy to play!

Aru if you had a job you’d be struggling for play time! I sthink I would sell the furniture in the guest bedroom for a better and another computer if the hubby would let me. But he doesn’t “get” it. (I did manage to sell the treadmill. I don’t need to walk, AbbyMacRogue, can do that for me, I’ll watch her run, she’s got a good lookin’ backside already.)

I’ve been Interventioned.

Something about sabotaging my equipment if I don’t participate in realtime with my actual, in-person family for Rendezvous

You all are funny! The hubby and I have two computers and two accounts so we can play/run around together. However, when we boot the kids off they howl to high heaven.

I’m still playing my pally and she’s lvl 34 now, almost 35. Only five more levels then I get my mount!

I have to go to San Diego in a couple of weeks and will not be able to play for a week. I’ll have serious withdrawals.

Well, I guess I won’t be playing tonight either. We’re going to see Constantine. I’d rather stay home. Maybe I need an intervention too!

I’m working on the leatherworking skill, if you’ve still got the scraps–I can’t make anything terribly useful for you yet, other than the light leather kit to enhance your armor, though.
Mr. Armadillo is currently working on some big thing with his buddies, so I probably won’t get to play tonight. Sadly, we actually do have two WoW capable computers and two accounts, but he’s got the desktop disconnected so the laptop can fit into the powersource by the TV! Hrmph.

We’ve just set up new Horde characters on Elune, I’m Morelia, a Tauren hunter. Mr. Armadillo’s got a Tauren shaman who’s name I can’t spell…

Great, I have a couple horde characters on elune also=) i will add you to the friends list=)

If anyone is interested, I’ve got characters on three different servers, now. Gurtok, a tauren shaman, on Hyjal, Tiriole, a night elf hunter, on Earthen Ring, and Nimune, a human mage on Gorgonash. If anyone’s on one of those servers, drop me a line.

If you’re on Elune, AbbyMacRogue’s Lockpicking Service is open for business.

She’s fairly low level at the moment, but the more locks I pick the faster I will be able to level up for the harder boxes and doors.

Mixie I’d be happy to meet up with you and share/get rid of some of these 10 or more stacks of scraps. Light armour kits is fine with me and you will skill up quick with all this stuff. I know that three stacks of scraps makes one stack of light leather. Is Viridis your leatherworking character? Are you ever on in the evening? I know ElmurFudd is going to be on Tuesday evening, so I’m going to give him some if we can meet up somewhere to trade. I’ve been given boots, chest armor, daggers, bracers and cloaks. Everyone has been so generous with me I want to share too!

It was late and while I wrote it on a notepad at the house, right now I am at work and can’t remember, but either Kuscheliger or Jermailyn, gave me some terrific boots and leather chest armor last night. I’ll probably have it awhile so I could use an armor kit on it for a bit of a buff. I don’t have any shoulder armor yet, so if anyone on Elune gets a drop on shoulder armor that is not mail (can’t wear mail, just cloth and leather) I’d appreciate a chance to have it.

Jermailyn and I met in the Stormwind bank last night so I could skill up in lock picking by opening her boxes. It worked out great even though she had to wait on me a bit to skill up.

Can an alliance character have horde friends on their list?

Maybe its a gender thing, you just described me and my husband to a T.

Except he built a pally then switched to building a Rogue. He hammered me to start a rogue but it just doesn’t do it for me, I’m into spellcasting. Hence my Undead Mage and Tauren Shaman, NE druid (Biggest character, 30), gnome warlock and NE priest. Banging on stuff doesnt’ do it for me, except for the Shaman, who is awesome because she has SO much stuff going on!

And yes, I’m 46 and female. Blizzard knows their shit, that’s for damn sure. They are the only gaming company that ever makes anything I want to play, then I get completely sucked in.

I have to say, though…the crafting thing is turning out to be a bust, and I think they are going to have to fix the economy eventually. It’s ridiculous that the raw ingredients for things are worth more than the finished items in virtually every instance. People are switching more and more to pure resource gathering, and eventually they won’t have enough people to sell to and the economy will collapse.

And does anyone have an Alliance character neard Gadzetsan to help me transfer stuff to my Horde characters? Sigh… the poor Horde, so neglected.

I didn’t think that was possible. Can you trade items between alliance and horde?

Yes, but it’s a pain. In Gadzetsan (sp?) they have a 3rd auction house that is used by BOTH factions. So you can get your Alliance character to put something up for sale, have a Horde friend buy it and give it to your Horde character.

You could just have your Horde character buy it, except Blizzard is too damn smart, and they won’t let you bid on your own auctions, I tried it. And this was after a MAJOR pain in the ass getting 2 tiny mule characters down to Gadzetsan through very high level areas via deathhops and some help from my hubby.

So now I have two tiny level mules sitting in Gadzetsan on Feathermoon, but I need to get my hubby to haul his big bad Pally ass down there to help me do the transfer.

Yup, I’ve only got two. Viridis is the leatherworking night elf druid, Morelia is the Tauren hunter who’s yet to pick up a useful skill. I’d love to make the kits for you, I’ll probably get on in the next few minutes, if I can manage it.

Wow, I practically live in Gadgetstan, and I’ve never even noticed an auction house. I’ll have to check it out.

I was on a few minutes ago and got mysteriously booted. Can’t get back on either. The Kid isn’t here to show me what to do either. Hmmm. Can’t believe I get to play without him here and now I can’t get on. lol :smack:

I don’t have anything useful to contribute so I’ll just say this: I was standing in the Scarlet Raven Tavern in the Wetlands, and I saw this bit of NPC dialog show up in my chat window:

What the hell kind of bar is this, anyway?!?

Scarlet Raven isnt in Wetlands I dont think, the name of the inn there is something nautical beginning with ‘B’ IIRC.

You’re right; it was in Duskwood, not Wetlands. But in my defense, the joke wasn’t all that funny anyway.

Speaking of NPC’s in Duskwood.

I was playing on Stormreaver last night because Elune kept booting AbbyMacRogue.

Ester, also a human rogue, was standing at the griffon master in Darkshire late. She’d been standing there a short bit because her guiding hands have a lousy sense of direction and couldn’t remember which path to take to get to the wetlands. I was a surprised and baffled (it happens easily, yes) when the griffon master typed in chat, not the scripted stuff in grey either. And not the usual box that says, “I need a ride.” She typed a greeting and then commented on the fact that Ester isn’t in a guild at level 28 and that she thought she was the only unguilded character at level 30. I replied, “I thought you were NPC.” She replied with an lol. By then I was on my way on a griffin, but I did think to write the character name (Madmordigan) down to tell my son about it. I thought it was kind of neat that the griffon master was a player. Or so I thought.

My son doesn’t believe me. He said it was just something generated by the game. I don’t see how that could be possible, as she could see that Ester is a rogue and wasn’t guilded, and commented on the relative high level for an unguilded player.

I know 28 is not a high level player, but most folks are guilded much sooner. In fact, Ester was guilded earlier but the guild disbanded to change names. I didn’t follow the crowd because they are all higher level players that didn’t help on the rare occassion when I asked for help. Being my son’s friends, they tended to have to go to do school work or to bed about the time I am getting a turn on the computer. For the really tough stuff, I tend to end up grouping with someone at the instance instead of being able to count on guildies. This of course leaves me with incomplete elite instances when the group finishes before I do and leaves. :frowning:

Ester is 101 lock picking, if you are on Stormreaver and need a chest opened send me a message and we’ll meet up somewhere to open it.

Heh, was wandering around Ashenvale last night and came across a rogue ganking some level 20’s. Chased him all the way to Felwood before he died like a stuck pig. One less ganking Alliance fool.

I love the pvp by the way but not a fan of the big battles. Too spammy.

Quick question:

I came across a website that is selling characters for various servers. I think it’s disgraceful but I am curious as to how they do it. That is, how can they sell you a character? How would you be able to use it in your account? Shouldn’t Blizzard just shut this sort of thing down?
