I’m from the government and I’m here with your MMP

how you doin?

Ok, I tried to read but too long. I only came in here to say I can’t believe I shared this video with all and sundry but didn’t share it with my beloved MMP.

Bollywood Does Condoms

Some of you may have already seen it from the MPSIMS thread, but if you haven’t, watch - it is fall-down funny.

**Haze **is lovely.

Also, Mama Tigs and GT, I probably will get more songs from my brother for my birthday, so I am willing to do it again.

Dancing condoms! Hahahahaha!

Where is everyone? I’m booooooooooored.

I’m here, but I’m mostly working and I’ve got nothing worth saying. Unless you’re interesting in hearing about my difficult decisions re yarn for my next scarf project. Do I want to use wool or alpaca, or do I want to go in a completely different direction and use something like rayon bouclé or tencel? Do I want to use lace or fingering weight? What color palette do I want, light or dark, bright or pale?

Yeah, I didn’t think you’d be interested…but I like your curls!

Alpaca? Tenecel? Wot?

Thanks for the compliment, anyway. I like my curls - I can’t help constantly tugging at them for some reason. It’s fun to make them bounce.

::Raises hand:: Present and Accounted For!
(bet I’m not the one you wanted to see here right now… :p)

I’ll suspend flirtation for one moment to say, in complete seriousness, that you really are lovely!

Ali, that is one awesome drag costume!

Swampy, I see you’re still loving third shift… :stuck_out_tongue: (ducks, runs, hears things crashing against the wall… :D)

Meeks, I’ve been meaning to watch that video for a while now (yup, saw the MPSIMS thread)… need to get to work where I have earphone and nobody much cares (I suspect that video is a lot more SFW than some of the stuff we share at work. Yeah, we’re very laid back there. Envy me!). But that will only happen on Sunday, probably :frowning:

Urgh. The next-door neighbours are having some kind of earnest conversation. Not loud, but it’s two or three men, and the cadence of their voices comes through the wall pretty clearly. Also the baby has been awake on and off throughout the night, and I’m not very sleepy.

So I’m awake. I might try going back to bed after Mr. Lissar leaves at six.

I say go for the alpaca, because I love alpaca.
The black beans and rice were very yummy, especially with the addition of tomatoes and some cheddar. I can do roughly the same taste with a lot more work. I think we’ll put it on the list of Things Mr. Lissar Can Probably Make For Dinner.

Yay! It’s Friday and I’m only here for the morning (well, provided Tin Knickers signs my leave request for this afternoon). And I’m off to a Hallowe’en party tonight!

Actually that’s the reason for the afternoon off - the party venue has changed from the centre of town to an outlying area so we’re having a minibus to get us there. Which means I have to be ready to leave at 6pm, but if I finish work at my usual time (4pm on a Friday), I will only have 45mins to get ready. That’s nowhere near enough considering that I haven’t even decided which outfit I want to wear…

So I’m taking the afternoon off. And if I have to use my own time for an afternoon off, then I’m having all afternoon, that means I’m out of here at midday on the dot!

Morning Mumpers. I got out of work at 430 yesterday, got home at 5, and laid down. For 12 hours. I’m surprised the cat didn’t eat me.

Interesting video, meeks.

: gropes Rosie back :

Great pics, Haze. I dye my hair when I’m either bored or frustrated. The other night I did a delightful streak of purple.

ETA: I somehow feel obligated to add this… First on six!

I’m already here at work this morning. It was a craaaazy day yesterday. Hopefull today is a bit more calm, yet not so calm as to let me fall asleep whilst cutting up chicken.

Good morning everyone! I’m up and really should be making breakfast but I’m here on the dope. At least breakfast is easy. All hubby wants is scrambled eggs and toast. I need to make French Toast or Pancakes one of these days. Those sound good.

I’m in class again this morning, final day for Excel, yay! Plus I’m done at noon. Even better.

Nice pics Haze! Don’t you love self-portraits? They are fun.

Still not sleeping well, even though the doctor gave me something new. Not a sleeping pill - an antidepressant! Mr. SCL doesn’t much care for this doctor.

I went to bed at 11:30, was still awake at 2, woke up at 4 and got up at 7. I’m going back to bed after I finish this post. I need to get some more sleep before I start working on jewelry stuff.

Well, OK. It’s time to tell you that I’m a male lesbian…

Bluuuurf. Caffeinating…

VWife surprised the hell out of me yesterday. Up to Tuesday, getting her onto her feet has been this major production, with me lifting her legs so she doesn’t strain her knees, and then applying The Boob Strap[sup]tm[/sup] so I could lift. The whole process took about 10 minutes from start to upright.

Yesterday, she announced she had to use the can, and I  because I expected the big production. Instead she said to bring her walker, had me plant my feet so the walker wouldn’t move, and she did it herself. Done in 30 seconds…

Last night at home went a little better. Instead of stomping all over me while I tried to sleep, Ralph just curled up by my left ear and purred at 80 dB instead. All frakkin’ night.

Today is the 11 AM [del]wankfest[/del] meeting with the physical [del terrorist[/del]therapy team to review VWife’s progress, and to indoctinate me into home recovery stuff.

Og, I need a beerverage or 12 and an unlimited term under the sheets. Instead, I gotta work.

YES!

My work-local supermarket finally started stocking sweet seedless clementines again. They haven’t carried these in bulk since last year or early this year. Oh, they sold those small crates that have something like 30 in them, but I don’t want 30 frickin’ clementines. They’d start to turn before I could eat them all. Plus, those weren’t seedless. I hate dealing with seeds. So now they finally got them in bulk! In addition to that, their bakery finally started making polish plum donuts again! I lurrrrrves me some polish plum donuts. They’re like a regular filled donut but made with egg (like an egg bun, but pastry) and have a not-too-sweet plum filling. They’re probably loaded with calories, but I can’t help myself. They’re that good. They had some other polish pastries there too that looked really tempting, but … maybe next week.

Did I mention it’s cold out there? It’s frickin’ sitting right on the freezing mark! There was frost on the ground this morning. Frost! That’s not fall weather, and I simply won’t stand for it. I am going to have to go all UN on Mother Nature’s tuchus and draft a sternly-worded letter.

I put up my Christmas window chasers last night. They’re purdy. I love Christmas lights. And no, I’m not early. I’m not even the first one. Just one of the first. Everyone else (and the malls and stores) will begin to follow suit in the next week or so. You Murikins don’t really do that 'til after Thanksgiving, do you? Or do you kinda do a simultaneous thing?

VBob - Glad to hear VWive’s starting to regain a bit of independence. She sounds just tenacious enough to beat everyone’s expectations as to her predicted recovery time. As fo the cat – aw, now that’s cute. How can you not just melt at having a kitty fall asleep by your head, purring the whole way through? I mean, that’s one contented feline.

McUne - Scrambled eggs are easy, but y’know what I discovered the best way to make 'em is? Nuke the crap out of 'em. Scramble with milk, maybe a bit of salt and pepper, stick ‘em in a pyrex dish or measuring cup, nuke 2 minutes until they puff up like mad. If necessary, scramble a bit when it’s done and nuke another 30-60 seconds. You end up with these ridiculously light, fluffy eggs. I think the microwaves puff up air pockets or somethin’ which makes them about double in size. (Yeah, they shrink a bit when you take them out, but they still remain really fluffy)

Meeks - That video was … vaguely disturbing. It almost has the hallmarks of something you’d expect to see on Japanese TV. Only, y’know, without the cutesy, maniacally happy anime stuff, and the addition of Bollywood choreography.

Hank - Looks kinda brownish with red highlights. Purdy! Like the curls.

Lemme see. Ah, first, ali, here’s an earworm. ::ahem::

Lady in Red…Lady in Reeeeeeeeed

haze, just lovely, dahling!

Good for v-wife, bobbio and ralph, too, BTW.

meeks, erm, catchy tune on that there video.

I am decided. Tonight’s dinner is going to be a repeat of last Friday. Take-out from the eye-talian place with a short visit to the puppy store. Can’t. Resist. Furry. Cute. Baby. Dogs.

I’mma maybe gonna do some more clothes shopping tomorrow. I cleared my closets (yes, I have more than one) so I have room and we can now wear jeans whenever at work so I am there.

Later.

<sits down due to dizziness>
Hazelnut–are the curls new? It looks great. YOU look great!

I am home today (yay) and delaying going to the bank (actually they open in 15 minutes. I don’t like to pay for the privilege of using an ATM).

Nothing to say, really. Good on Vunderwife!
I can’t stop eating home roasted (with kosher salt!) pumpkin seeds. They are so good. MUCH better than the store ones (which I won’t buy).

Morning, all. Caffeine is being ingested, puppies are fed, and it’s a lovely cool morning. I stayed up fairly late last night but got nearly all the work done that’s due today, so a couple hours and I’ll be ready to pack up and head off for our little adventure in Atlantic City whenever Papa Tigs gets home.

Yay for VunderWife! Give her my congratulations – that’s a real milestone she’s accomplished there! It sounds like she’s like me, determined to get the most out of her new knees. And she’s going about it the right way – the more she works now, the sooner they’ll be nice normal knees that she won’t even notice any more! Do give her my congratulations. As a member of the BioClub, I have a pretty good idea of how much work it takes to do what she’s doing, and clearly she’s doing a wonderful job. She has good [del]terrorists[/del] therapists, too, obviously!

Bobbio, I sleep with a cat purring at 80 decibels next to my ear every night. It can be very useful on a night like last night, when Papa Tigs had a nosebleed just before bed so after he got it calmed down didn’t dare try to blow his nose to clear it out enough to use his CPAP; Emily’s purring drowned out any snoring he was doing. Fortunately, he lay on the one side he doesn’t snore on while I was going to sleep (all 15 seconds or so it took me – for some reason I was tired, after working my ass off for 17 hours or so), so between that and the feline, I got to sleep peacefully and never heard him snore.

Time to get back to work and finish this stuff up so I can goof off the rest of the day. Don’t have too much fun, and watch that goat!

Good on VWife! Soon she’ll be stomping all over, raising [DEL]more[/DEL] hell!
Haze, the curls are cute.

Dear, it’s November now. It’s supposed to be cold. I like it. More hot chocolate and sleeping with the windows open under a big pile of blankets!

Okay. I’ve got to drink tea, go to the bank to get some cheques, eat a lot of Hallowe’een candy, trot to the grocery store, and maybe pick up my paycheque. And do two loads of laundry.
