I’m from the government and I’m here with your MMP

SNAKESCAT LADY–here’s an idea for your kiln.
japanesebirdbells

I have no idea if they are authentically Japanese or not, but they are cute, and look easy to make. I think they’d sell well, too.
I will do anything to not do my homework. I am going outside soon, to enjoy the day.

I’ve been slowly putting up all the MMPers in that Imagine-ry Doper thread. Come see!

Are we back??? A post I attempted to make earlier never did go through. Oh well…

Taters MIL is in my thoughts and prayers. Kid (we gotta work on a nickname) so are you because it sounds like you could use it.

Did someone say Georgian food? Fried chicken, grits, collard greens, okra, corn bread… what? Oh not that Georgia! Nevermind!

Ok off to read about imaginary dopers.

Yeah, the board has gone down about three times today, that I’m aware of. I think it must still be somewhat messed up, because I tried to click on a post and the board told me I didn’t have access to it.

I’ve managed to take a shower today, clear my kids’ shower drain (baking soda and vinegar, works like a charm), aaaaaand, that’s about it. It’s been a pretty relaxing day.

Heh. If you could see me now. I’ll just provide a link to how fun my evening has been. I related the small tale in this thread.

And, swampy, thanks. And don’t forget to check out your picture in Imagine-ary Dopers.

I don’t like it getting so dark so early. <sigh>

McKay’s had a sale on crab legs, so we got some king crab and some snow crab, and that was supper tonight. Very yum!

This was a good day, hobby-wise. **FCD ** did a lot of wood-working - our new bathroom cabinet is going to be gorgeous! I did a lot of clay work - I did some more decorating on my sister’s mugs - I’m just waiting for her to give me the names for personalizing them. Over the course of this weekend, I made 4 pet food/water bowls, one fancy bowl, 1 soon-to-be penguin (including all the fins and feet and stuff to be put on it), 4 candle holders, 4 snowman bodies, the pieces for a marionette, and a conical tree. I was trying to work out a Christmas tree sculpture, but it wasn’t coming out the way I wanted. We’ll see what happens when I have at it again.

And as this weekend winds down, I face my week from hell. It’s gonna be a real attitude test. I may have to hurt someone before the week is over. Perhaps I should stock up on calming, soothing chocolates??

slips FCM some chocolate, just in case

The show at Pasaquan was nice - it was an absolutely beautiful day. So much so that I wasn’t too disappointed that I only made about $80. Most of the time there were more vendors than buyers, and a lot of the people who weren’t vendors were friends of one or the other of the bands. So not a lot of money but a good time anyway.

I was so tired when I got home and got everything put away Saturday night, I forgot about setting the clocks back. I was supposed to be there at 8. I was there at 6:45. Oh, well - it’s better than being late. I am getting better and better at this as the days go by; I didn’t forget as much over my two days off as I was afraid I would.

Off to do more laundry…

Um…about those Japanese bird bells. Seems they’re made out of metal. No matter, something similar could be made out of clay, no?
I also have a week from hell. School, work and recert for ACLS. Gah. I’ll be sure to whine my way through it. Lucky MMPers.

Well, I went to Mass, went to the season ticket holder practice. cleaned the apartment, and napped.

“Season ticket holder practice?” This brings to mind a bunch of fans, going to the arena and practicing their cheers. Is that how it works?

Good thoughts and prayers going out to Taters MIL and to everyone else who needs them. Hope LiLi is enjoying her LAST SHIFT!

I’m just back from the hockey game. Wound up going by myself, which was probably better, since I got to actually watch the game and not have to worry about making polite conversation. Also got to overhear interesting conversations (I think the people behind me were just there to be seen…they chatted the whole time, only pausing during goals.

I’m happy to report that the Blue Jackets won! 3-0. Yay! Somehow, between the rare occasions that I get to hockey games I forget that hockey is one of the sports I actually like a lot. And I had a perfect seat, about 15 rows above the ice, just behind one of the goals. It was high enough that you could see all the action on the ice, but low enough to be able to see everything clearly. So it was a great diversion for a Sunday afternoon.

Before the game I also did laundry and mailed my White Elephant. Of course, I’m tired now. I’ve had dinner - big bowl of peas with dill and butter. And am contemplating what else to eat. I had a big breakfast, so I’m not all that hungry, actually.

I’m thinking I’ll crawl into bed and read and hope for a little extra sleep for once.

I’ll see everyone in the next MMP…

We have google ads for mashed potato recipes. I wonder, if we all made mention of say… baked possum for a few posts, would we get possum recipes? It amuses me to think of such things.

I spent 4 hours on work stuff today.

I ate pancakes for breakfast and had chinese for dinner.

I live on the wild side you see.

PS: I also did four loads of laundry.

Hee, rigs…I saw your picture of me. It’s hilarious. And really appropriate. Although I have shorter hair.

Oh, yeah. I forgot to report that the Snakes won Friday night 5-2 and Saturday night 2-0.

Just FYI, possum must always be served with sweet potatoes.

MT, a new mouse is going to wait until I get paid again mid-month, at which point I’m going to make another (more organized, I hope!) shopping trip to Twin Falls, road conditions permitting, which they shoudl still be. I bet Costco has mice.

I tried to post this pointless information earlier but the boards crapped out. I hate when that happens.

Otherwise, nothing happened today. The Race starts in a few minutes, yay!

While it is true that possum and sweet N.O.T. are a classic combination and certainly compliment one another, there are other ways to serve possum. Possum stew, possum creole, possum chili, and stuffed possum are a few that come to mind right away.

Prayers going out to all those who need tehm.

I wish I had ads for mashed potatoe recipes, incease this is my ad

I wonder where that came from.

Just got back from a baby shower. It was fun. I’m very happy I don’t have to get up early tomorrow morning. I don’t work until 1 p.m. I think I’m going to like this part-time stuff.

I am having a ball doing those. I’m sticking with the user name for the most part, and they can be hard to find! Your’s was fairly easy, after I just went to gardening.

Speaking of gardening, it was so nice out this afternoon, I did more yardwork. I cut some peonies and trimmed the iris. I didn’t move the iris, which I need to do, but I just don’t have the oomph. I will do it in spring–yeah, yeah, not supposed to, too bad. I tidied up some beds and sprayed on last shot of brush-b-gone on some pesky shrubbery.

Off to read or surf or both. Still avoiding homework.

Free!

In one week I’ll start complaining about being bored.

One of the regular (every single day) customers, who has an adorable little baby girl (not as cute as Noor) phoned this evening to say she has a baby carrier that she’s never used, do I want it? So we just got some adorable pictures of Mr. Lissar with the carrier on, with our medium-sized stuffed bear (Robert) in it. I’ll post pictures after we get them up. I’ve been telling tinyninjachef that the little girl (named Sophie) is one of his prospective girlfriends. In fifteen, sixteen years.
Tomorrow is Fill Out Government Forms Day. And maybe Take Myself Out for Celebratory Lunch Day. I’ll deserve it after spending a lot of time in lineups.
Yay!

Howdy all. New MMP is up here.
