I must be the first one up MMP

Funny – I wanted to  but that was because I read it as merkin.

(I had a friend who operated a tavern at historic events called the Merrie Merkin)

Survived irk fine. The good news is that all the people on my line are happy and everything with each other. The bad news is that they are close to pitchforks and torches with our sister-line that has made our life Hell for two straight days.

I thought that would be Spiderdope or Dogbutt.
Ah well, you are birds of a feather.

It is a spice made of Chilean goat horn pepper and garlic. It may also include incinerated ancient Spanish explorers.

I like to think that the pepper is gathered by young nude virgins, but it is probably picked by wrinkled ancient crones that fart when ever they bend over or stretch.

So much for romanticism and culinary pursuits.

I worked for 14 hours, and had a cashier for two of them. Oy, I need this beer.

Yeah, where else am I gonna drink for 12 hours while talling to a 6’8" blue guy in a kilt?

I’ll have to make a road trip.

Flytrap, I read it as merkin, too.

Urban Dictionary has a spelling with a second ‘e’ as being acceptable, so, yes, we are all birds of a feather…or toupee…or something like that. ::shudder:: (at your ingredients, not that we’re alike; that’s a source of pride!)

JFC, you want Swampy to spoiler box his recipes???

Could you rent a balloon so we could all fly over — someone’s — house and take a dump?

Hey all -

I’ve been a bit busy lately, took a week off posting this thread (even though I’m new). Partner and I bought a house on 5 acres. It has a barn with two stalls, a chicken coop, and a garden for me; it has a workshop for him. It needs a bit of TLC - some walls knocked down, some maintenance on the property. We’re pretty excited to get started. I can’t wait to get goats and chickens again!

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN 'Tis 73 Amurrkin out and rainy with a predicted high of 82 and probably rainy for the day. Earlier this week it was supposed to be sunny (N.O.S.) today. :dubious:

Specs, you probably have another nick but I have not had enough caffeine to remember, will the goats and chikins be inside or outside pets?

OK, that’s all I got. I need more caffeine and rumbly tummy is demandin’ sustenance. Then, alas and alack, irk purtification must commence. Oh well, at least 'tis hump day.

Happy Hump Day Y’all!

Swampy, right? It’s Luci.

The goats and chickens will have their own snuggly barn with coop attached (and super secured from coyotes and other predators in the area). When it’s cold out I’ll probably keep them in there, but they won’t be allowed in the house.

I missed your first postings, Luci - welcome to the madhouse! Will there be pics of the goatses and chickenses so us nosey parkers can see them doing what they do best?

I is tired, it’s hard being two people at once and trying to do everything everybody else wants. I hope the slacker is back from his “sick” leave next week because my goodwill is running very thin.

The good news is that it’s pub night tonight! 'im indoors will become 'im outdoors for a few hours and we’ll be doing the social thing with some friends. That’s after I’ve been to feed cats at a friend’s house while she’s away, and then whizzed back home to provide dinner for my beloved.

doggio, I don’t have a six-foot blue guy in a kilt but I can manage a six-foot Scotsman with a largely unintelligible accent for you.

Thanks! I will post all of the chicken and goat photos you can handle! I love raising them. Both are so playful and curious!

I wanna live on a lake, a semi decently sized lake where there is a lot of wake! I love the sound against the shore!

Please let me win the lottery!

Otherwise…I need to stop that nasty ellipses habit!

Luci - many of us have more than one nickname, so it’s cool if the soggy ursine wants to call you Specs.

Me, too, SkyKing, me too.

Also, of course, blurf.

AirForce, nothing wrong with ellipses…they are my second favorite add-on right behind parentheses (but anyone reading my posts knows that…)

My soccer game got moved from Tuesday to Thursday, but didn’t find out unitl I got home and checked my e-mail. So refereeing Wednesday, Thursday, meeting for the area tournament Firday, and refereeing in the area tournament Saturday and Sunday.

If exercise wasn’t good for me I’d cut my throat…

Otherwise, another blurfy hump day at work. Recalulated my retirement again, about 96% of current salary if I retired this minute…WTH am I doing here?

Up and caffeinated. Closing yet again tonight.

“Why are you hitting your self in the head with a hammer?”
“Because it feels so good when I stop.”

Boofae, that’ll work.

Chucky Y, you may want to rethink that plan as it may be tough making it thru the night with the suggestive sound of water constantly splooshing. Just sayin’

I’m (a bit over) 6’, & the last time I wore a kilt…I woke up w/ a blue ribbon/first prize.

Quit bragging!

“Laddie, I don’ know where ya been, but I see ya won first place”

Another boring day at irk. Since we changed to Single Fund last month my cost centers and our company code has changed. Now I cannot get into the accounting system cause I do not have the permissions for the new code. They are working to get me the required permissions so I can pay my vendors. In the meantime I am just here with not a whole lot to do except read the net.

I am taking off on Friday so if any work is getting done this week they need to hurry up and fix the problem.

Fingers are crossed for DH to get sprung from the hospital tomorrow. The last phase of the first cycle ends today, then they just want to keep him for observation to be sure his kidneys are successfully dealing with all of the poisons (the chemo itself and the dead tumor cells).
