I must be the first one up MMP

Luci, shall we put you down for souffle or an omelet for the next Mumpers Virtual Potluck? :stuck_out_tongue:

AirForce, although I contain myself when posting and for business emails, ellipses are all over casual emails and texts.

metal mouse, does it cost more than 4% of your income for vehicle maintenance, work wardrobe and other related things? And would you be penalizes at all on your pension by retiring tomorrow? Even if you continue working for the next ten months, it’s always nice to know that you could leave without a financial hit any time you choose.

gotti, I’m keeping my fingers crossed for DH.

We just found out that one of our customers/vendors (it’s consigned stuff) wants a physical inventory of their product next week. That will likely have me working some OT as well as back burnering some of my usual workload. Oh, well.

Happy Hump Day!

It is absolutely beautiful outside, so I sat out there a bit with the dog. Looking at the mess that is the back yard, leaves everywhere.

I overslept this morning and was late logging in to irk. Only by 6 minutes, which won’t even get me a hand slap, but still, I hate being late.

I still haven’t picked a health plan, I hate this shit.
I have to fill out some college paper irk today as well. Or at least do it with Sah-son. The college sent an email today saying he can/should apply for a scholarship. I so love filling out forms, but he’s going to need my help with the financial stuff. I’m sure not going to turn down free money though.

Finally got back into the accounting system but still can’t pay my vendors cause all the month of Oct is not posted. Still I am taking off on Firday so it will have to wait til Moanday.

Howdy Y’all! Hump day has been survived. Only two more to go! YAY! Tonight’s dindin, spoilered just for flytrap will be…

my version of Philly cheese steaks and oven fries.

gotti appropriate/inappropriate appendages crossed re DH gettin’ sprung tomorrow.

OK, dindin refuses to make itself, so I guess I shall get busy.

Home!! YAY!! One more day till my weekend - HUZZAH!!!

My brain is mush. I made a big, dumb mistake yesterday at work. It was a bit of a pain to fix, and it was really dumb because I know better! I blame Trump! But it’s all fixed and now I’m without work again. Wonder what tomorrow will bring?

My poor sweetie is in lots of pain - I fear another back surgery may be imminent. Dammit. He’s on steroids and muscle relaxers right now, but he said it’s not muscular. If it happens, it’ll be #6 in 11 years…

Other than that, just another day in paradise. Supper is grab whatever. Here’s hoping for a good night’s sleep.

Dindin has been ingested. ‘Twas good if’n I do say so myself. I have decided not to betake myself over to the church house tonight. It’s gray, icky, and rainy lookin’ out and I just don’t feel like drivin’, so in da cave I shall stay. OYKW went to his place for the evenin’ as he has paperirk stuff to deal with, poor thing.

**FCD **had the last of the ribs from the freezer. I seared me a tuna steak. Broccoli on the side. Ice cream later.

Too damned dark too damned early!!!

Home. Made the bed, tidied the kitchen and about to start a load of laundry. We are having burgers on the George Forman, coleslaw from a bag(don’t judge) and baked beans from a can. Easy, quick and will us get by til the next one. Gonna have a beer or two as well.

Sinus problems are driving me crazy. Something is a blooming that does not agree with me. One more day of irk for me this week. One of my employees is having plastic surgery on her nose to remove skin cancer so she will be out the rest of this week and all of next. We are in a slow period so no biggie. Just hope it is not spread further than they are aware of. If it’s in/to the bone than it will require much more serious surgery. She is my best sales person.

Ok. Off to wash clothes.

I’m with MMOOOMMM TOO DARK, too early. My office doesn’t close til 1800 so I have told my staff to always have a flashlight handy in case of a power failure which happens often.

Firefox has been wonky for me - I can’t get to my credit union or several other sites. Dunno why. But I’m too tired to mess with it now. Maybe tomorrow.

Meanwhile, MWAH!!

If you are within 200 miles of Pittsburgh and need help destroying things, don’t be a stranger!

The one detachment we’ve done events with wears a 1750s great battle kilt. With all the fabric and pleats the easiest way to put it on is lay is out and basically roll yourself into it. New recruits will sometimes wear a Speedo or something but the rest have done this often enough to just walk out of the tent in their shirt and go to work. The ladies of the French side have names this "The Ceremonial Dressing of the Highlanders and usually pull up a chair and a cup of coffee and make a morning out of it.

Dinner was leftover lamb in gravy over Amish (of course) noodles.

Da Bear is merciful.
Now, if he just * went* to work from 8:00 to 5:00 like the rest of us who earn a living…

:dubious:

SPOILER your menus!

Byzantine.

flytrap due to the nature of my job, I can pretty much irk from anywhere. I have spent many an evenin’ irkin’ via teh intartoobz. I even did an hour’s worth of irk this evenin’.

And on that note, da bear is tahrd so 'tis time to retire to the boudoir.

Nitey Nite Y’all!

Feel so low.

I was refereeing the 3rd place game in the local soccer tournament, and was doing a great, I mean GREAT job. I was in good position all the time, the game was exciting, my assistant refs on the sidelines were in sync with me, the coaches were behaving…

And with 2 minutes left I screwed up.

It was 1-0 Green and the blue team was attacking trying to score the tying goal. There was a foul on the blue attacker just outside the penalty box which I clearly saw and I hit the whistle loudly…just in time to see the ball bounce to another blue player, who shot and scored.

I didn’t want to, but I had blown the whistle before the goal, so I had to take it away. Game ended 1-0. Both teams had done enough to proceed to the Area tournament, and I had really done nothing wrong (my assistants agreed there was a foul), but I’ve been doing this long enough to know to wait a second or two down by the goal to see what happens.

The coaches and parents didn’t say anything, but I knew I had blown it, and I’m still mentally kicking myself as I type this.

If I hadn’t been having such a good game, or if that team had been knocked out because of my mental error, I’d probably feel even worse. As is, I’ll get over it in a year or two (which means tomorrow when I referee again).

But still feel low.

Flytrap is sort of a Pia. He hated on me for leavin irk early but what would we do without him. I have use or lose and just irked 15 hours over this past weekend. Pfffft! Comp time is not needed for me.

One of my friends who plays in a Celtic band wears a great kilt and puts it on in similar fashion. If there are women present, he does wear drawers though.

metal mouse, don’t beat yourself up too badly, just do better tomorrow.

I didn’t get home until 6:30 this evening. I did get a few things straightened out with Ma Bell though. China Wok fixed a mean supper.

MetelMouse you are an honorable referee ! And because of your early morn post I upped my contribution today to my 401K. Thank you.

15 hours in the hot tub, no doubt, playing video games and vaguely paying attention to a VLAN, no doubt. :dubious:

PIA? Folks going home early and working from the hot tub are PIAs!

Swampy you got a hot tub?
