I need a new name!

Well i’ve been here a while now, and i had no trouble with my old user name, except for some minor confusions occasionally.

Then i read this thread:

First off let me apologize to Otto, at the time I had no idea that your name was what it is. I picked it, because I was born on March 8, 1983 (3/8/83) and my family always calls me otto. It’s simply the default username i use for everything. (Not that I don’t totally admire your knowledge and wit, Otto, its just that I didn’t know you at the time.)

I had no idea of the trouble I may have created by picking the name I did :smack:

So in addition to my apology, I’ve decided that my actions should speak louder than my words.

I’m changing my name.

But i have no idea to what.

So i need your help, what should my new, original name be?
Anyone is welcome to suggest, but I would weigh a response from THE Otto, above all.

No need to apologize. My name comes from an old AOL screen name of mine (original derivation is from Repo Man) and honestly I was shocked that it was available when I registered here. Makes no difference to me if you want to call yourself “otto3883” here. There’s an OttoDaFe who’s been around longer than I have. Always room for another Otto or two, and if anyone asks I’ll just say that you’re one of my crafty minions.

Well, I don’t think there’s an Otto Mann, if you dig the Simpsons reference. Might still be confusing, though.

You could be cheesy and do Ottomatic. Blech.

Ottomatron is a little better.

If you’re feeling lucky, you could be L.Otto. (so bad, it hurts)

Personally, I’d go with Ottoerotic. Add Asphyxiation as desired.

Or, if you’re sick of it Otto together, may I suggest:

Strewwelpeter. Seriously. What a cool name. Especially if you know the book.
