Comes Christmas, our twin grandsons will be almost 14 months old. The kids come to our house every Thursday and are obsessed with the digital piano, with it’s wired in pieces. When they get a little bored with it, they’ll go to some other activity, toys, books that they like us to read to them, strolls through the neighborhood, etc., but always, always, always, they come back to the piano.
I put a tune on, my wife and I sit on the bench with the kids in our laps. They listen, push all the buttons, mash the keys, and we all have a grand old time.
But I need something else that’ll knock their socks off. Help!!
When they get a little older, move on to PlayDough. Not the knock-off version, the real stuff. There’s nothing more enjoyable than a new batch of PlayDough.
I also really like the line of products from Parents, featured at Target. It nicely straddles the line between electronic beepbeepbeep toys and old school “educational” toys. Plus, many of the electronic ones have off switches, an astoundingly rare feature in toys! I can particularly vouch for the Bee Bop Band and the Gumball Machine. I can’t wait until I…uh, I mean… WhyBaby gets the Home Sweet Home Dollhouse! Notice how it’s open from both front and back, as well as the sides? A *must *with multiples.
