Yeah, lunges are my favorite butt exercise, they always leave me sore. The other one I like is back extensions done a little differently. If you move the pad you lean against down so the top edge is right at the tops of your thighs, you can do the exercise keeping you back straight and using your glutes and hamstrings.

Hike up hills. Lots of hills. If you live in a place near hills of sand, hike up those. When you can hike up the hills like nobody’s business, start alternating walking up hills with running up hills and biking up hills. Pretty soon, sympathetic magic kicks in and you get really nice hills in your pants.
