I need some new tunes, man!

Are you familiar with Daft Punk?

How about OK Go?
This Too Shall Pass
Here It Goes Again
A Million Ways

I love the Gaslight Anthem. Very Springsteen/Tomy Petty influenced:

High Lonesome
Great Expectations
Here’s Looking at You, Kid

I’m also a fan of the Scottish band Frightened Rabbit, although I’m led to believe that they’re something of an acquired taste:

The Twist
Swim Until You Can’t See Land
The Modern Leper

That’s interesting; maybe a little more laid back than I like, but still musically pleasant.

They are indeed funky - very nice!

Sorry, I’m just not feeling it.

While I’m listening to all of your suggestions, here’s one of my own - Imelda May, “Mayhem.” Very engaging pop, big band, throwback fusion.

Dick Dale and the Ventures I’m familiar with; I really liked that version of “Pipeline” by The Chantays - I liked the addition of the piano.

Man or Astroman is a bit heavy for my taste.

The Really Rottens aren’t all that bad.

I love Imelda May! Big Bad Handsome Man is my favorite.

Didn’t know you were into Big Band.

Check out the Atomic Fireballs, Big Bad Voodoo Daddy and Cherry Poppin’ Daddies.

You’ll like this:

Jack White - I’m Shakin’
mmm

Menomena - the album “Moms”

Japandroids - the album “Celebration Rock”

Fang Island - the album “Major”

Bloc Party - the album “Four”

Surfer Blood - “Astro Coast”

Torche “Harmonicraft”

Sebadoh - “Harmacy”

Tad - “Inhaler”

Vlad’s pothead brother?

Hey, they’re from Saskatoon, just like me! They are definitely 70’s throwbacks - they’re seriously channelling The Guess Who/BTO. I like 'em!

I think I saw that performance (well, on tv) - I like it!

Look up Jellyfish. My favorite band, ever.

I think we know who James Brown reincarnated as.

I like Daft Punk just fine (I also like Kanye West’s “Stronger,” too). I also like Underworld - I have a bit of a taste for electronica.

This isn’t new but I’ve been listening to it lately:

Midnight City (M83)

I neglected to mention one suggested to me in an earlier thread of greatest funk songs. Robert Randolph’s Ain’t Nothin’ Wrong With That. Listened to it and bought it on the spot, which is almost unheard of for me to do for an unfamiliar artist.

OK Go does not seem to be my particular cup of tea, but I think I will get “A Million Ways” since I am so familiar with the song from Band Hero.
