Around the late 80’s britpop star Samantha Fox remade Love to Love you
I was looking for something similar and I found my song: Chakachas - Jungle Fever
After FOURTEEN years.
Whoa.
That’s not the OP’s song - that was a different poster/different search.
I wasn’t on the board 14 years ago to answer this particular question, but I would bet the song is “My Forbidden Lover” by Tapps
Pretty sure its Whitesnake!
Ah, an old school zombie thread.
I was wondering about this post…
Maybe the OP nailed it around 2006 or so…
My first clue was when somebody suggested a Duran Duran song that wasn’t “Rio.”
I was just digging the net for an old disco song my dad had rec on a tape… I couldn’t remember the title so i bumbed upon this thread while searching. I suddenly recalled the artist and the title came by itselft seconds later.
Anyway i was wondering if you were looking for this (18 years later :P)
The OP’s last post here was less than 2 months ago, so he probably pops in and out of the boards. I sent him a PM with a link, to let him know this thread has been active a couple of times since 2001, including now; maybe he’ll stop by.
Long shot : Art of Noise - Moments in Love
It’s electronic but not disco, came out in 1983 but was re-released in 1987, there’s a female voice/chorus towards the end, a few soft “bing” sounds that could be interpreted as a triangle and weird synthetic winds that could seem out of key.
Nope, not yet. Still don’t know, but the rhythm is still in my head.
I still think this is “My Forbidden Lover” by Tapps. It has xylophone/triangle in chorus, it has moans, it has off-key sounding keys. (Chorus starts at 1:30).
Breakaway by Big Pig isn’t keyboard driven but it does have that xylophone thing going on in the chorus.
I GOT ONE I FOUND ONE I KNOW THIS!!
Edit: Ok maybe this isnt it. Not much in the way of lyrics and Id think the OP would remember that.
But it could be this extended mix
That’s one hell of an earworm.
My WAG is
