Look, whether you agree with Obama’s policies or not, saying that Palin, who still doesn’t know why there are two Koreas, is more qualified than him either makes you an idiot, or, well, an idiot.
What the fuck is wrong with these people? Looking at the other stats…it’s just hard to believe. Only 42% of Republicans think that Obama’s a citizen? Really? I knew I disagreed with most Republicans, I just didn’t know half of them were really so stupid as to be barely above bacteria in the intellect department.
25% say the president wants the terrorists to win? Really? As much as I hated W, I never doubted his patriotism or his desire to do good for the country…I just disagreed with his methods and wished for someone with better critical thinking skills.
Polls like this make me honestly sick to my stomach, to know just how much Fox News and Limbaugh have brainwashed the right wing people, and how unfailingly ignorant and vindictive the right has become. I know there are wackjobs on the left, but I don’t think they’re even close to the kind of numbers this poll suggest exists on the right.
Yep, just another step on the road to Idiocracy. To these people, Obama is not just a Kenyan Muslim, but someone who also commits the sin of “talking faggy.”
I expect Ouch…My Balls! to make its debut any day now.
I hope so. They’ve been playing promos of it on America’s Funniest Videos for over two decades now. Come on tv executives get the show on the air already.
Could it be that lately a significant number of moderate Republicans, who typically vote Republican and are registered Republican, are identifying themselves as independents or libertarians? If the poll was limited to people who self-identified as Republican, would this not increase the proportion of birther types, by moderates removing themselves from the respondant pool?
Maybe we should be thankful that the number is as low as it is. Modern American politics strikes me as being like trench warfare; a side stakes out its position and digs in so as to be completely unmovable. That 47% of Republicans can admit that Sarah Palin is less qualified seems to me to be a hopeful sign.
What does that even mean, for the “terrorists to win”? The War on Terror is un-loseable in much the same way that it’s un-winable. It’s not one single group with one single goal. There’s no one to surrender to even if he wanted to; and if bin Laden just declares victory, we’d debate whether to believe him and not whose fault it was that we lost.
Unquestionably. The Republican Party as it is now bears no resemblance to the old one, which had at least a semblance of wisdom and intellect and pragmatism. Today’s Republican party is completely about emotion and about getting people worked up into a frenzy over polarizing issues. And pandering to people who are dumb and ignorant.
The moderate Republicans are drifting away from the party and towards libertarianism, unquestionably.
Just embrace it. If you consider yourself a democrat, the more republicans who support Palin the better. There is no way she will ever get the support of the right leaning moderates or independents. Nothing would make me happier than for her to land the nomination in a few years.
You have proof of this contention? Or are we simply to assume that a lefty blogger must, by his very nature, be lying? FWIW, Moulitos paid for the survey, he did not conduct the survey.
