I’d be there. Really, I would. I even promised Kid, the Elder that I’d take him and his girlfriend the very next time you came to town. I can’t go to Tacoma. It’s in the States. I don’t go to the States. I can’t go to Edmonton or Calgary. They’re too far. Argh!!!
I was a baaad girl, c1984. Probation, 1 year. The last time I went down, I got checked and asked, sternly, if I’d ever been told I couldn’t go to the States. They let me in anyway, but I was only going straight to my best friends place for a few days and looked pretty normal. That was also pre 9/11. I wouldn’t want to try it now, especially to go to an AC concert!
Besides, I could cough up my concert ticket and local bus fare, but that’s about it.

If your crime was so petty that all it resulted in was a one year probation, I can’t imagine how that can prevent you from being able to enter the country. Especially when this happened twenty years ago. I hope you look into that a bit more. I am curious as to what you would find out.
