More seriously, external stimulation (manual, humping a couch cushion, turbulent trolley rides, the list goes on) is actually a significantly more common method of female masturbation than vaginal penetration is, so the OP needn’t fear being unusual on that account.

Thank you for sharing your story. I am experiencing very similar issues! Because of pain that I’ve experienced, I’ve avoided a lot of normal things like tampons and regular gyno exams. I’m finally trying again to visit one this summer, and talk about my concerns and hopefully find some answers. I also was raised with a very strict upbringing. A lot of confusing messages that I’m still clearly carrying in my body. I hope you are finding some healing. Would love to hear how you are doing now.
