There are more of these comments in this thread and I was thinking, why suckered? I mean, what do any of us really know about the boards population but what it typed. Some of you may know others IRL, but for the most part, its post and either accept it or not.
Have you considered that if NotOkay had been legit, maybe they should have been posting from the same IP? He was supposed to be her brother, right, and presumably was on the scene.
I agree 100% - I wasn’t trying to say that it’s a bad idea to be skeptical in general, or not to believe any part of any post at any time for any reason. Just that it is dickish to rub people’s noses in it for choosing to accept a post for what it was presented to be when they had nothing to lose by doing so. It would actually be dickish to do that even if someone took a leap of faith in a situation where they did have something to lose, but at least then the mocker would have a point about why it is important not to do that.
Y’know, in the portion of your post I quoted, you made exactly one claim about what I’d said.
Just look up the page, it’s still there.
Even you should be able to count to one.
And maybe, just maybe, if you stretch yourself to the max, you ought to be able to figure out how many ways there are to choose one thing from a set of one.
And as an extra-credit exercise, you might actually do so.
Ah, forget it. You’re too dumb to count to one, and you can’t really lie because you haven’t acquired the mental sophistication to grasp ‘true’ and ‘false.’
I think they get too much credit, because no one wants to admit they were fooled by an amateur.
I don’t really think umkay fooled that many people, anyway. Not everyone has an uncontrollable urge to run in and scream “troll!” every time their bullshit sense tingles.
And I think even most of those who seemed to be taken in, had to have some inkling, on some level. Maybe they just wanted to play along. Some people get as much out of giving sympathy as others get from receiving it.
I started to read it, but then found her and the fawning to be all a bit too much so I quit it before my eye-rolling muscles got overextended. The aftermath has been extraordinarily entertaining, though.

I am not a doctor, but I think the heart is supposed to supply blood to your brain. Perhaps tuck your heart back inside for a bit and see if you recover your senses.
Yeah, cuz it would be hard for you to quote the sentence where I’m telling lies about you.
Do you think anyone is buying this doubletalk you’re trying to peddle? You are pathetic.
