I planted a really large bomb at the SDMB.

It’s a bomb. It’s a really, really, really big bomb.
The biggest bomb of a thread I’ve ever posted. Possibly the biggest bomb of a thread in the history of mankind.

I posted it on August 7, 2003 (Don’t reply to it, as you’ll only be resurrecting a dead thread. Hell, don’t even clink the link, as you’ll be defusing my bomb.): My summer vacation is here. No outside contact for a week, Ahhhhh…

As of right now, it’s had zero replies, and only 12 views.
So. Can anyone else claim a bigger bomb (with no replies, and with less views than 12)? If not, what’s your biggest bomb of a thread?

Happy

I’d click on your link, but then it’d have, gasp, 13 views!

That title doesn’t seem like a good idea.

I posted one with no replies. I don’t remember how many views, it was so boring I don’t even recall the title.

In the past month, I posted a thread in the Cafe gushing about the Meryl Streep/Uma Thurman movie, Prime.

Zero replies. Probably under ten views. It sank like a stone, and I can’t even find it via a search. Maybe it was culled.

The one rant I recently made about an arcade misadventure I had in the early 90’s:

It was disappointing to me. I got one reply, but then oblivion.

I knew I should have posted it on the Pit!

I had a thread with 0 replies and 13 views plus many with 0 and low-20s views.

I suspect I am on a great many ignore lists. Most of my threads sink like lead rocks. :frowning:

I don’t have one that old – I haven’t been here long enough – but I did start a thread about a trip to Tijuana (that didn’t end up happening due to time constraints) with 0 replies. April '05, I think. A month or so after I joined. My liver’s too marinated and I’m too lazy to search.

My low point was my 500th post. 0 replies and only 19 views. The only reason I made the post someone else made a big deal of their 500th post and received a bunch of replies.

As one with creation of several “zero” threads to my credit, the only thing I’d care to share is, as a lesser-known poster, now I attempt to discern the existence of any potential even fleeting general interest in the content of my thought prior to creation of a new thread.

My questions generally run to the obscure and odd.

YMMV

Oh my God! Quick!

The blue wire… or the red wire?

Which one will defuse the bomb?!?!

Oh, wait, you mean that kind of bomb. Yeah, had loads of those. woeful sigh

Hunh, my most paltry ‘zero replies’ thread got a whopping 21 views. Obviously I’m way more popular than y’all.

OTOH, I’ve never had a thread that went over 150 replies, and only a few that have gone over 50.

I posted a thread in CS about a musician and it got no replies and 1 view. That one view was mine, from when the thread posted.

I win.

You win, dude, I can’t compete. My lowest view-count among my zero-reply threads was 25.

Yep, you win.

That wasn’t a bomb, it was a depth charge!

Does this have anything to do with all the zombie threads that keep popping up?

Lately, I posted a cool game that I hoped would run and run… One reply (thanks Lama Pacos).

And also, A million dollar self help idea … Zero replies. I invested quite a lot of thought into both… ah well.

Btw, both of these are fairly recent so I dont think anyones going to get pissed off if you ressurect them.

I found several with 0 replies and views in the low teens.

It’s fun, looking through old threads. I saw a lot of familiar names that haven’t been around for awhile. I’m surprised that so many people decided not to register, or maybe they did and changed their User Name.

I wonder where they’ve gone and if they know they’re missed.
