Did it occur to you that Euty may not have been on line since he posted that?
Maybe he’s not in the mood to discuss his post at the moment, he may or may not but obviously something is up and until he or one of the other mods pops in to give us some idea of what is going on I think we should sit on our hands to avoid chewing our fingernails until the parties involved are ready to say it was a joke, that Euty is leaving the SD, quit his job, or whatever else the possiblilities are…
I am content in letting him do as he pleases, 'sides he’s my favorite mod, seriously, and he knows it.
I just hope he is okay and have offered my cyber shoulder if he needs it, in fact I am worried about him and hope he gets back to me soon.

I never had a problem with Eutychus55, but obviously, he’s having a problem.
If he want’s people to stand up for what he believes, he should cut to the chase and give the minions the real story.

Clearly there is some serious concern here. Some people think it might be a gag. Some that Euty might be departing something for some reason. Some (me included) think that some almighty shitstorm is about to descend on these boards and that there is some feverish activity behind the scenes to prevent this or limit it. Even if it can only be something akin to “processing, please wait”, can you let us know here or in ATMB that this thread has been seen? It’s 3 am in Australia. I want to know what hat to wear when I log in in the morning.
I think it’s a tounge-in-cheek call for unadorned affection.

Euty’s posting was as big a surprise to us as it was to all of you, we had no inkling. We still don’t know what’s going on, but we are attempting to find out.
If he just wants to take a break from moderating, that’s cool, if he needs to go away, that’s the way it goes. Real life has a bad habit of getting in the way sometimes.
The bottom line here: we’re his friends and we all care about him.
As soon as I find out something I’ll let you know.
BTW, we were about to place another moderator on the board this week, so make no inferences about that, it’s a coincidence. In fact, for those of you with pending applications, please make no inference about any of this whatsoever, none of what’s going on affects you one way or the other.
