In addition to Point Break, I also recommend Next of Kin and Red Dawn.
Or you can wait until the release of what I imagine will be the greatest action movie ever made.

Man - tough call. I readily acknowledge that ST has aliens, spaceships, and laser weapons, but I think RH has more/better fistfights, better tunes, and just those WONDERFUL 80s big hair, silky shirts and all. Also, I get the sense ST was intentionally done as a tounge-in-cheek spoof, whereas RH gives the laughable impression that it was tryiing to be sincere. Finally, ST - while a great flick, suffers because it was such a poor rendition of an awesome novel. RH’s camp stands on its own.
Probably the best thing would be to add aliens to RH… 
But the ST book was written by RH…
It would be so deliciously close to RHPS!

Road House features an acting tour de force from John Doe, clearly the coolest man alive.
Road House was great, but Point Break was awful. Dirty Dancing was good but it’s a chick flick so it won’t have the action.
Seconding Red Dawn too. And heck, why not Outsiders while you’re at it?

Definitely check out the Rifftrax for this - it’s completely hilarious. Paraphrasing from memory:

That’s either going to be an action tour de force, or it’s going to suck more than Ishtar.
How could Ahnuld be in that? I thought he wasn’t doing any movies, even cameos, until he left office.

You know, it may have failed at the Box Office, but Ishtar doesn’t actually suck.
It’s missing Van Damme, Wesley Snipes, and Steven Segal. If they were included, though, the very film the movie was shot on may have exploded.
Never seen Road House, but from the (all of a whopping FOUR) entries at Celebrity Movie Archive it doesn’t seem all that noteworthy or impressive in the nudity department.
