I’m sorry, but . . . Gene Hackman??? Lisa Ann, is there a particular reason for that? I find it hard to think of a less offensive human being in Hollywood. And he is a terrific actor–not only one of the best of his generation, but one of the best, period.
Kevin Costner: the man cannot act. I’ve hated him in the few movies I’ve seen. He can make even Robin Hood lifeless and boring.
Robin Williams
Billy Crystal
I don’t know what it is, but I cannot stand these two people.
Adam Sandler
Another vote for Hugh Grant. He’s just so bland. And that bumbling stammering bit he does irritates the hell out of me.
I see that some of you have mentioned Tom Green, and I totally agree, except I think of him more as a genetic mistake than an actor.
There is only one guaranteed this movie shall not be seen by FallenAngel actor: Chris Elliot.
This man is so annoying and talent-bereft he makes Tom Green, Adam Sandler and Paulie Shore seem like Clark Gable, Ronald Coleman and Humphrey Bogart by comparison.
I’d hated him on Letterman for years (his occasional presence was a big reason I went all Leno, all the time), but I broke my rule about Elliot endeavors to see “Something About Mary” based on the recommendation (read: endless nagging) of two good friends.
I didn’t laugh once. I hated the movie, and it consistently rates #1 on my list of Worst… Movies… Ever. The movie couldn’t have been good under any conditions, but Elliot’s presence and performance pushed it from a lousy movie to the worst movie ever made. I was so irritated at having wasted an hour and a half of my life that I made the two friends who nagged me into seeing it buy me lunch for a week.
Have I mentioned that I really hate Chris Elliot?
What did Stipe say that was condescending towards the Fab Four?
I know he can be pretty full of himself at times, but I never remember hearing about this before.
I think he said something like the Monkees were more of an inspiration to him, but I’m not entirely sure.
Got any links?
And I gotta support the ** Carrot Top ** vote, to which I will add:
** Steven Segal
Jean Claude Van Damme
Chuck Norris **
And the single most thoroughly grating performer of all time,
** Chris Tucker ** Being anywhere within earshot of that man makes my ears bleed.
I am eternally grateful that ** Fran Drescher ** has faded away for the most part. (Although she was perfect in * Spinal Tap * )
And beyond that, it really depends on the movie. I’ll even watch Adam Sandler in the right flick, i.e. * The Wedding Singer. *
Pauly Shore
Julia Roberts
Anyone from the casts of Beverly Hills 90210 or Friends
Roseanne
Madonna
Rosie O’Donnell
Oprah Winfrey
Jim Carrey
Mariah Carey (Not that anyone else went either )
Cameron Diaz
Brad Pitt
Gotta agree with Hugh Grant (how on earth did he get a reputation for being attractive, btw? He looks…err…genetically deficient somehow to me)
Pauly Shore (aaahh!!!)
Carrot Top
Julia Roberts and her weird worm-lips sucks pretty bad too.
There aren’t any actors that are absolute deal-breakers for me, but I will think long and hard before seeing a movie with any of the following:
Tom Green
Jim Carrey
Chris Tucker
And the creme de la crud, Tea Leoni.
Mickey Rourke *even though I liked “Barfly” *
Salma Hayack
Kim Bassinger and [ex?] husband.
Don Johnson [well, *is * he an actor?]
and I love Woody Allen
Another vote for Adam Sandler, the king of moron movies.
Sandra Bullock. Nothing that I can put my finger on, she just rubs me the wrong way for some reason.
David Spade.
“Produced by Lorne Michaels” - with the exception of Romy & Michelle’s Reunion which was actually not bad.
Steve Martin. Just can’t stay in the room with one of his movies. Visceral disklike.
Adam Sandler, I just find his movies tend to be brain-suckingly stupid.
Tom Green, professional adolescent.
Freddie Prince Jr. I had the misfortune of seeing the dull, messy misfire that was Wing Commander in the theatres.
Judi Dench. I just can’t stand her for no apparent reason. The same with Helena Bonham Carter. Ugh. Maybe it’s the eyebrows?
Adam Sandler. He was bearable on SNL, but one, his movies have got to be the most mind warpingly moronic things ever, and two, he as an actor is just so…ugh. Yeah, water boy, THAT was a great performance, I’m sure.
Two I forgot
Demi Moore
Mel Gibson
I cannot stand Andie Macdowal. She poisons everything she is in with her nasal voice and cloying acting. She’s been in some really great movies… and made them all worse than they should’ve been.
Chalk up another vote each for Adam Sandler and Pauly Shore.
