Bette Midler
I’m with you. One of my co-workers is trying to convince me that I can see ** Bridget Jones’ Diary** (which looks interesting otherwise) because he’s the bad guy. I don’t think so.
I also don’t watch movies with Whitney Houston in them. Ever.
Did I just miss it or has no one mentioned ** Keanu Reeves** yet? Let me also add Bette Middler.
Ditto on:
Richard Gere
Hugh Grant
Charlie Sheen and
Jean Clod Van Damme.
I cannot stand Julia Roberts. She is awful! I probably would have seen Oceans11 if she wasn’t in it.
- I don’t consider her a great beauty AT ALL!
- Her ‘blockbuster hit movies’ which seem to attract drones from all over just to hear her laugh (put it in a can already!) is something i will never understand.
In short: She sucks!
I used to like Mad About You. It was amusing and sweet. Then I saw Helen Hunt and her part-time Brooklyn accent in As Good As It Gets. I really disliked her character and was quite angry when she won the Best Actress Oscar for it. Ever since then, I’ve not been able to watch the MAY reruns because I can’t stand seeing Helen Hunt acting anymore.
pldennison - Gene Hackman gives me the creeps. He is just icky. I can’t watch him on screen.
Nobody mentioned Meg Ryan? Amazing…
More votes for Julia Roberts, Ben Affleck, Robin Williams, Richard Gere, John Travolta, Bette Midler, Tom Green, Chuck Norris, and Freddie Prinz Jr…
If all of these “actors” were to appear in a movie together, I fear that their combined suckiness would prevent light from being emitted by the projector and would, in fact, cause a black hole to be formed in the theater. If we were extremely lucky, the only time this would happen would be at the world premier with the entire cast in attendance.

Sorry for the double post. REALLY bad response times on the board tonight…
I pretty much boycott anything with a cast member from SNL after about the Eddie Murphy years. Of course, I don’t think they are targetting my demographic with their movies, anyway. So it all works out in the end.
Ditto here on **Adam Sandler, Pauley Shore , ** (except Bio-dome)Kevin Kosner, and Kenau Reeves But I also have to include Val Kilmer
I absolutly abhor Action/Adventure Genre of Movies, so all those tough guys out there are 86ed as well. Yes, even Bruce Lee
ducks flying roundhouses
No doubt Rosie Perez. I accidently left the TV tuned to HBO while I was outside the other day. They showed “It Could Happen to You” while I was out. Rosie’s voice peeled all the paint off of the living room walls.
So why is that “condescending” toward the Beatles? Maybe it’s just a statement of fact. I remember reading in an interview once that “Stepping Stone” (by The Monkees) was the first song R.E.M. learned.
Must everyone kowtow to the Beatles?
I’m in total agreement with Andie MacDowell and Meg Ryan. Another actress I find a complete abomination is Mary Louise Parker, who has an excellent stage reputation but whom I absolutely cannot stand to watch. I actually begin to feel violent when I see her onscreen.
Jean Claude van Damme, Eddie Murphy (these days), Bette Midler, plus the usual suspects (Adam Sandler, Pauly Shore, Tom Cruise).
I will not watch movies starring Ron Jeremy, Joey Silvera, or Teri Weigel.
Nicholas Cage has been in a few good ones (Raising Arizona and The Rock come to mind), but I think most of his roles (Captain Corelli, anyone?) would be played better by someone else. Maybe scotth can fill in for him some time.
Sure, I’m jealous of Hugh Grant’s good looks, but I just can’t watch his movies. Even with Rowan Atkinson in it, I couldn’t sit through Four Weddings and a Funeral. Perhaps it was the evil presence of the aforementioned Andy MacDowall? That didn’t stop me from loving Hudson Hawk, though…
