I wax mine. If I shave, they get too itchy.
I wouldn’t care if my SO did, whatever he prefers, but he isn’t very hairy.

Hell no! I’ve begged men to shave their armpits. I did get one to at least trim. Armpit hair is pretty foul stuff.
Well you and I could divide the male population between us with absolutely ZERO overlap.
I wouldn’t dream of shaving my armpits. The hair under my arms is sparse and wispy. Its similar to the texture of the hair on my head, as opposed to my facial hair, which is very coarse. The hairs are so thin that its hardly noticeable.

I’m not at all attracted to “pretty boys”.
I like my men to look like men. I’m not a huge primper and there is no way in hell I’m going to date a man who spends more time getting ready than I do. Men shaving body parts… or applying gel to their hair… no thanks. Just shower and brush your teeth and let’s hit the road.
My body is smooth and soft… and pretty darn hairless… if I wanted to rub something smooth, soft and hairless… I would just rub myself.
Fair enough. I just personally hate body hair, and the smooth or semi-smooth look on guys is becoming more and more popular. To me, hair looks and feels unclean and barbaric, and thus “manliness” doesn’t factor into it for me.
I’ve shaved my arm pit hair many times, same with chest hair. I absolutely hate the fact that I grow chest hair… eew, just about the only thing worse is butt hair.
I dunno. I heard (from here of course) that butt hair serves a purpose.

I gotta say, I’m real surprised at the response this thread has received. Who new what a key issue pit hair could be? 
I’m with MissBungle on this one. Dudes shaving all body hair=gross. Jeez, I can’t be bothered to shave my own armpits unles its a special occasion. I cannot deal with guys who spend way more time primping than me (and I am a wash-n-go no make-up unshaven legs kinda gal).
I shave just about all possible hair off my body I can (including my arms and those little invisible hairs on your knuckles) from the neck down. I hate hate hate hate hate body hair.
I would be thrilled with a male who did same. So far I have yet to find one.
I personally could care less if a guy shaves/trims his armpits. It’s more convenient for them, but it’s not an issue for me. I shave when I feel the need, and I am attracted to both hairy and hairless guys. The only thing I object to is the guy who looks like a wookie without his shirt on. I personally am not too thrilled with the thought of dating a gorilla, so it doesn’t turn me on.
As to shaving the nether regions, I see a guy doing that as more of a signal that he appreciates what I can do and therefore makes it more enjoyable of an experience for me. ::is going to refrain from further comment on this topic::

I, too, am intrigued by the comment that someone uses shampoo on their armit hair. I have used shampoo and conditioner on my pubes to be funny (I have very coarse hair, and I was trying to make it as silky-smooth as possible - - which isn’t very silky smooth.) What does shampoo do for the armpit hair that Irish Spring won’t?
My fiance likes guys with a little hair - not sweaters of body hair, but enough to let her know I’m a dude. That’s good - 'cause I ain’t shaving anything but my straggly beard. (Stupid genes! I inherited Dad’s crummy, sparse facial hair!)

Sounds like guys who are serious swimmers would make a good, uh, pool to pick from. 
I don’t shave my armpits, but I do keep them trimmed. I use a beard trimmer (even though I have no beard, it makes a good weedwhacker). I just zip it through the pit hair every couple weeks or so to keep it real short (it’s not especially thick to begin with).
i also vote “Yea” for a guy who wanted to shave his armpits.
and just to totally skew your age-related breakouts, i’m well over 20.

I hate body hair as a general rule. It’s gross. Especially butt hair. I shave my ass hair, you can too. It doesn’t make anything weird happen.
I don’t think a guy needs to “primp” or anything to be clean shaven. I don’t use hairstyling products, rarely wear makeup, and wear Birkenstocks exclusively, and I think a guy who showers, brushes his teeth, then walks out the door is ideal–but while they’re in the shower it would be nice if they’d shave the pits, shave or trim the pubes, and get rid of the ass hair.
