I think what gets on a lot of people’s nerves HIS4EVER, is hypocrisy. My husband told me that 12 years of Catholic school taught him tolerance and (besides love one another as yourself) that one of the worst sins was: hypocrisy.
Now, although I do not judge you (as you judge me), but another poster alluded to the fact that you were divorced and then remarried. If Jesus said that was wrong, how can you justify what you did? AND, if you can justify what you did, why can you not let the rules slide (much less clear rules because Jesus actually never came out on the issue of homosexuality) for others? If you are still married to this person, then you are living in sin in violation of Christ’s will. If this is the case, and you are right about your interpretation of God’s word, you may be saying hi the rest of us in “the pit”.
It seems to me that you are committing one of the worst sins out there: hypocrisy. I am sorry to make it personal, but when you agree with a man who is condemning me to hell, I take that pretty personally.
However, I really do not think you will respond since the one thing “witnessing” christians hate is to be proven a hypocrite.
Now, if that other poster was wrong about your circumstances, my questions still stands: Is every Christian following the exact word of god? if not, are they not hyopcrites for condeming others when they could be condemened themselves?
Actually, I personally am kind of glad that the thread rose from the grave – because we’ve had a number of comments lately about how there really isn’t a problem – and this thread defines very clearly that there is.
The Mods., of course, may disagree (with the Night of the Undead Thread thing, that is).
