Well, everybody knows that you wear flip-flops with cutoffs…
shrug
You’ve got to reach a certain number, right? I mean, your high priestesss is/was Ismerelda Marcos and it’s all down from there…

Yup. LLBean Camp mocs. My favorite shoes. I would wear them everyday if I could.
Mine are so comfy.
tremorviolet, those black patent pumps are awsome - I want some BAD. However, I’m currently prancing around the house in these, so I need to lay off for a while.
Here is another nice pair I recently acquired. I, too, covet the black patent leather pumps, but I think my shoe allotment has been covered for the next month or so.
Gah! I guess I should turn in my “girl” card, because #1, I can’t imagine paying $200 for a pair of shoes, and #2, I absolutely refuse to wear shoes that hurt my feet, and most of those look like they would. And I could never order online, because I’m so picky about the comfort factor that Ihave to try everything on. I DO like platforms, but they have to be just right, and I can’t wear pumps at all.
Delicious. Utterly scrumptious!
TroubleAgain - I’ll have to join you turning in my girl-card (I don’t have a card - do you think I could turn in a tampon?) Shoes are meant to be comfortable and long-wearing. They have to be long-wearing because I’m likely to cgo from the office out to my barn and feed the horses in the same shoes. then I occassionally scrub off the mud and slap on some polish.

I LOVE retro platforms. Recently we were looking at photos of my husband’s mother, who was the Homecoming Queen c. 1949. I couldn’t take my eyes off her shoes. My husband wouldn’t stop teasing me hie thinks I’m a shoe freak; my collection resembles tremorviolet’s … although not nearly as neat. And without spiderman.
My current favorite shoes are two from my winter collection. Frye Harness boot. I feel utterly awesome in these boots. I wear them with jeans, and dressy skirts. I can’t get enough of them. Crack for the feet.
The second, I can’t find online; I don’t know how old they are. They’re a pair of Franco Sarto’s I got brand-new from a shoe repair shop I haunt. A friend of mine calls them the Dead People Shoe Store; I think they buy designer shoes from estate sales. Most of the Italian jobs are way too narrow for my feet, but these Franco lovelies fit just swell. Low side profile, wide heel, silver buckle. Mmmm.
My latest acquisions were a neat find from Coldwater Creek: Leather Laced Slides. At the end of last season I got some great Dansko sandals, too: Dansko Leanne, in black. Very comfortable and tres zippy.
I love shoes. I hate sneakers.
No recent acquisitions to share, but I do have to say, my friends make fun of me because of my love of heels. We used to take the back way to the work cafeteria - which meant we had to go down a short set of stairs with holes in them. My friend would just walk on down - while I carefully tiptoed, to avoid getting stuck.

I love all these grand shoes! I love to look which all I typically get to do since I have nearly round feet (9WW). You gals are so lucky! I wear Sugar 26redtred mary janes and look like an anime fan girl.
Sob! I have a giant collection of tres fabu shoes but since I developed a painful case of heel spurs last year, I can only wear flat shoes with cushy soles and orthopedic inserts.
Somedays I just sit surrounded by my collection and remember when…
Thanks for the compliments everyone! The patent pumps were pretty pricey but I rationalized getting the shoes I’d been dreaming about by cutting back on cheaper purchases. These threads are so fun; I love seeing all the different shoe styles poeple wear. Dr.Woo, I have the Steve Madden version fo the exact same shoe.
If anyone’s interested, I had the camera out to take a pic of my house and took a new pic of my collection. I changed the way I’m storing my shoes but looking at the old pic, I think the old way looks prettier. (Spidey’s still there tho’ ;), guarding my bear)
You’re so ORGANIZED!! I have new bedroom furniture coming at the end of this week, so I’ll be able to rearrange stuff in my over-stuffed closet - I’m hoping I’ll wind up with more shoe room but it’s not gonna look like that, for sure.
::dreaming about new shoe closet…::
And here I thought I patented the “one this way, one that way” method of putting my shoes on a shelf! They look darling.
Mine are in a closet, though, not out where I can gaze upon them whilst I recline on my sumptous bed. Though my “half” of the closet is pretty well FULL of my little obsession.
I love pretty much all of the shoes posted. I wear sneakers most of the time, though. I can’t walk in heels without screeching and flailing once I start to lose my balance. Add big, wide feet and my penchant for spending spare cash on video games, and you have me in tattered tennis shoes and drab flats.
So here’s a pair of shoes I wish were 1)real and 2)mine. http://metalandmagic.com/modules.php?set_albumName=originals&id=cantaloupesandal&op=modload&name=gallery&file=index&include=view_photo.php&PHPSESSID=bad0fef2db8f7396a3da641fb25b37cb
I have (happily enough) no use for tampons, so I’d have to turn in…oh, I dunno, my eyelash comb? I’m not quite that bad about shoes–I usually change before going out to play with the dogs. And I do like pretty shoes, but I’ll be damned if I’ll go bankrupt or cripple my feet for vanity’s sake.
And here I was, so proud of these … I don’t think I’m in the club, am I?
NONSENSE! I have these which I love quite deeply.
You two saw my Frye boots, didn’t ya? I’m very irrational about them. I take long tours of the building at work when I wear them, just to hear myself clomp along in a satisfyingly shit-kicking manner.
