I want this shirt!

Huh. It looks like it won’t load directly, so I’ll just tell y’all what you’ll see if you click the link. It’s a picture of Sean Astin wearing his Twoflower costume from The Color of Magic.

Unfortunately, Try as I might, I can NOT find it for sale. So I’m reduced to whining about it here.

ETA ; Huh again. Looks like it did load.

I see shirt photo. Instantly I’m back to watching Laugh-in on a small television screen.

I thought of the shirt store Dan Flashes.

I think sometimes costume pieces are sourced from vintage or used clothing stores. So that shirt might not be a current product anywhere.

I googled Floral Hawaiian shirts. There are 1000s

You can find similar.

Have you Google lensed it?

(Found Starcovefashion.com)

Yabbut, throughout the entire program, his shirt is always immaculate, never a stain, never a wrinkle, never a speck of dust. I figure the costume department must have had dozens of them to manage that.

Maybe I’ll try to find out who represents him, and start a search from there.

ETA: (@Beckdawreck) I don’t know what Google lensed means.

And don’t you DARE send me a link to lmgtfy!

That’s because it’s for a movie that came out almost 20 years ago, was made-for-TV, received mediocre reviews, and isn’t particularly well-known. You’re unlikely to find anyone bothering to make a replica.

One thing to notice is that it’s something of a retro style. If you want to find something similar, look up a shirt with “hippie flowers” or a 60s/70s Hawaiian style. This is kind of close (but probably not close enough to satisfy):

Etsy: Groovy Floral Short Sleeve Men Button Down Shirt

You’re not going to find anything identical though.

It means she used Google Lens, which is Google for images. Right-click on the picture and you should have the option - it may just be in Chrome though.

Looking at the IMDB listing for that miniseries, Jane Spicer is listed as the costume designer.

Good idea. Thanks. I’ll give them a try on Monday.
