I want to do a white elephant swap...

Baker…let’s see…nope. Did you send it to thinksnow@hotmale or thinkSWAP@hotmail ?
(I don’t have the first one, some bastard snuck in and grabbed it up  )
I’ll post the updates tonight, I noticed a few (3) more this afternoon, but haven’t gotten to them.

cazzle I’d say “sure” but remember, whatever you send is going to take time to reach us, too. An alternative, though admittedly not a very sexy one, is to have the Oz-folks send their stuff to each other. See, I told you it’s not that great. Perhaps if those in Japan and NZ play too…

thinksnow, I sent it to thinkSWAP@hotmail.com I’m going to try it again after I finish this email. If after you see this it has not arrived can you email ME and I can get through to you on “Reply”.

Email is on its way. I think I already know what item from my closet will have a new home.

Count me in…I sent the email…now I just have to decide which elephant is worthy of sharing…

Keith

Wooha! Count me in! Sounds like a blast! And thanks so much, thinksnow for arranging all this.

I’m in!!

…so does my recipient want gooood stuff or baaaaad stuff… hehe, like your getting any of my GOOD stuff!

I’m in, but sending out the e-mail tomorrow at a more reasonable hour.
This could be dangerous you know with all these people and their evil little laughs.

Okay[li] I’ve got an update:[/li][li] evilbeth (I actually had you the first time, sorry 'bout that)[] Baker (hoorah!)[] porcupine[] Odieman[] Sassy[] Kaz[] whammo and Cazzle[/li]There was one email that didn’t include their Dopename, so I’m waitng on them, but otherwise, including myself, we’re up to 39. Wow, this is going to be interesting.

For those that haven’t yet signed up:
C’mon folks, surely you’ve all got something, some piece of junk that isn’t really junk, just something that your wife, husband, mother, father or priest has been telling you to get rid of for ages (no sending couches or worn out Laz-E-Boy chairs, please.)
So sign up and spin the wheel!

Oh, I am soooo in.

I am moving in 10 days, and my house is awash with cra…stuff I don’t know what to do with.

I don’t suppose I could sign up to just send? I thought not.

Oh well, I’m soo still in. email on it’s way.

Count me in too. I am sure I can find some shi – er – “white elephant” to send to some poor doper. I will email when I get home this PM.

I love the idea for an award for the most bizarre item, but I’m not sure how we’d decide. Maybe we can vote. More importantly, what would the prize be?!?

Adding to list:[li]elbows[/li]
Cranky
, I’m not sure what, but that sounds like a stellar idea. FTR: we’ve got a slew of Americans, a few Cannucks and an Aussie, so this is really starting to take shape. Figure next Friday I’ll do the pairings of whomever has their info in to me, say…by noon, e.s.t.

Howsabout these things for a prize? They’re so cute! And elephantine!

hey man - i sent email. i want on the ‘list’.

**[li]bernseCallie[/li]**Added to the list.

And…Star, don’t know what to tell you, I ain’t seen nuthin’. Wait, make that, I’ve not seen anything. Yeah.

Try it again: thinkSWAP@hotmail.com

This is perfect timing…I’m moving in a few weeks, and I’m finding tons of crap-I mean-“valuables” hiding away in my closets as I pack up my room. Now, to pick the best one to send…Oh, the possibilities!

On a side note, does anyone want a bunny rabbit? He’s cute and black and furry…my new place doesn’t allow pets. Hmm, maybe if I cut enough air holes into the box…the perfect white elephant gift!!

Yair, that’s what I was wondering too. I guess you could hook Caz and I up, but that wouldn’t be as much fun for us as getting something from overseas…

If U.S. people send fairly light items (1 pound or under), the rates aren’t bad.

For 1lb from USA to Australia, 3-5 days will cost anywhere from $5 to $11, depending on the dimensions of the package.

For 1lb from USA to China, 3-5 days will cost anywhere from $5 to $12, depending on the dimensions of the package.

For 1lb from USA to England, 3-5 days will cost anywhere from $5 to $10, depending on the dimensions of the package.

I don’t think those rates are unreasonable, especially since we won’t be spending any additional money. Sorry about pasting in the whole links-- I’ve tried to make them hidden, and they keep disappearing on me when I preview. Weird.

P.S. Anyone like my coasters idea? Any other prize ideas?

I give up. Sorry about the mess.
