How do I get the photos online? What’s a good service to use? Free would be best, cheap would be okay. Probably not something I’d use frequently, so I don’t want to pay yearly rates unless they’re way down there.

All are free and easy. You probably can’t go wrong with any of them.
Another good one is Webshots. They all work pretty well.
Also, many ISP’s give you free (included with your account) an amount of web space where you can post things like you photos, your own web page, etc.
This is generally a complicated URL (usually www.<isp_name>/~<your_user_name>), but that may be OK if you’re just sending the address to friends & relatives, rather than expecting web users in general to find your site. Also, you need learn how to upload a file, and if you want to create a webpage, you need to learn enough HTML code to set up one (or learn a HTML generator program).

I got a significant number of complaints in the ChiDope thread that several people were unable to view them. And this is not the first time I’ve had problems with Yahoo. I’m shopping for another site, and I will keep an eye on the results of this thread.
FWIW, several posters in the other thread used Imagstation, and I haven’t seen any complaints about it. I figuring on giving it a shot.
