I’m trying to pull myself together enough to go feed the cats, I feel like crap today.
My niece is having a sprinkle on Monday, a sprinkle being a mini baby shower.
I don’t know what to think.
Am in for a few minutes from the garden. Have weeded and pruned A LOT. Will switch to planting stuff in a bit.
Glad Bubba is home.

Been trying to contact someone. Tried through Facebook. Failed. Will try email next, but don’t know how often she checks her email. I do have her phone number, but I have a bit of a phobia of talking to people on the phone. Damn. Why do I have to have so much anxiety?
Just peeking in - the decoy show was pretty dull, but I expected as much. We had lunch at Bert’s. **FCD **took his dad out on his Harley. I ran to the grocery store. Yep, exciting day. I think we’re going to the concert in Leonardtown this evening.

Wow - quiet in here… I’m home alone with the dogs. Everyone else went to Best Buy to get a charger for MIL’s Nook - she thinks she left hers on the train. I’ve got a chicken in the rotisserie, so I had to stay home, which is fine with me.
We’re not going to the concert - it’s just too chilly to sit outside as the sun sets.
I think we’re going to Point Lookout tomorrow. Or some place else. We shall see.
My inlaws are sweet people but I can’t wait for Tuesday. You can only hear the same stories so many times. Honest to goodness, I’m loving these few minutes of solitude!

After discussion with Mrs. Plant (v.3.0) we will use the 100 gallon for salt water. I have designed rudimentary braces for the stand we bought. Priced argonite sand, live and base rock (Moses and Aaron on a stick!) when I attended a fragging class at Northside Aquatics today. I’ll start with a lot of base rock and a small amount of live rock and wait for two or three months.
What substrate do you use, FairyChat?
I honestly don’t remember what kind of sand he got - he set up the tank in 2009, fercryinoutloud!
Did he mention in his email that he’s thinking about setting up a tank for raising corals for sale? I guess that’s his post-retirement business…

Psycho Bitch lost custody of her kids yesterday! Now she has to go all the way to Nash County (aka all the way across North-By-God Kakalak the long way) if she wants to get them back. Which is increasingly highly unlikely because her ex-husband? Comes from one of the First Families of the Large Town of the County.

She’s still parked in Irish Storyteller’s house, but her bizarre and crazy performance in the courtroom yesterday will not help her in the eviction case. And the best part is the kids are out of it. There’s hope for their future yet.

Good Evenin’ Y’all! The official openin’ pool partay of Summer was a hit. Good people. Good drink. Good food. A good time had by all. Everyone is gone, the kitchen is all cleanded and I’ve had a nice soak in the tub. OYKW is on the bed watchin’ BritComs. Life is good.

DH needs killin’ right about now. He wanted to get stuff out of the garage to the backyard shed. Heavy stuff. So, it gets loaded in the truck, and he drives it back there. The side yard is soup, and the truck goes through mud as deep as the hubcaps. :eek: Making it worse, the fresh ruts are on our neighbor’s lawn, so now I have to fill in the ruts and get some happy grass growing before anyone notices. 
Did I mention the stuff we moved is heavy? My pain is down to a low “seven” now.
Blurfed, came home. Herbed chicken for dinner.

This goes back to last week’s MMP. A friend of mine has had to resort to legal measures to get his psycho ex-girlfriend out of his house and away from him. I have a lunch date scheduled with Irish Storyteller, so the good stuff is forthcoming.
How does a cat who is definitely not a feline Einstein suddenly manage to figure out escaping from an enclosed patio that’s been sufficient to confine her (when she’s out there, she spends most of her time indoors) for the last eleven months?
In a way, I guess it’s a good thing she freaked about unfamiliar surroundings. Instead of getting into squabbles with the stray/feral population or wandering into the parking lot people drive much too fast in, she hid in some landscaping and, when she heard me looking for her on the patio, started meowing at me to come get her. Once I got around part of the building and found the right bush, she came out to be picked up and carried back to our apartment.
Must spend part of Monday doing a better job on the cat-proofing.
Errands were done yesterday, eye test was completed with minimal bank balance damage. The optician said my current specs are fine for computer use at work but I need some different lenses for reading and suchlike, so new specs are on order and should be ready in about 10 days.
Housewarming/birthday party last night was fun, it was good to catch up with some folks I’ve not seen for quite a while. Got home about 1am and, because I am so rock n roll, I had a nice cup of tea before bed.
This morning has not been very productive so far, I have been over to my friend’s house to feed her cats and have changed my bedding so that’s in the washing machine now. It’s lovely and sunny out so I am hoping to get it dry on the line this afternoon. Next, I have spuds to plant and then grass to deal with. I’m not sure whether to bother strimming it or just dig it all up. It’ll grow back, whatever I do.
Lunch will be sallit because I am feeling the need for something healthy after all the junk I’ve had lately, and dindins tonight will be chilli because it’s quick and easy. There’s ironing to do but that could wait until tomorrow, I really should make the best of the good weather. After this cup of tea though…
The house is waking up. I’ve tended to the puppeh’s early routine, cleaned the cat box, breakfasted, and caffeinated. FIL just got up and is making his coffee. **FCD **is still in bed - he does not want to get up. Not sure what MIL is up to.
I think we might pack a lunch and go to Point Lookout State Park for a few hours. Just something to get us out of the house for a few hours. It’s supposed to get into the low 70s today and the wind is less than yesterday, so we should have a pleasant walk.
I should probably get showered and dressed… eventually…

Plans include deheathenization, N.O.L., and either pool time or cave defilthyfication or some of both. Da cave is not horrible but after folks traipsin’ in and out yestiddy could do with a spiffin’ up.
