I would shamelessly like some internet hugs.

(((((MerryMagdalen))))) - maybe you could do with a cat to cuddle too. I have a couple of spare fuzzbutts if you need one to borrow!

I think those of us who have “been there, done that” shouldn’t have to pay for the T-shirt…it should be free…or at least paid for by the ex!
{{{Merry}}}

Ugh and ack. Totally know the feeling(s).

(((HUG)))

That’s crappy. So I’m giving you a hug, definitely. Also, shopping really helps me when unpleasant things happen. A nice bottle of wine after shopping caps the afternoon or evening nicely! If this is at all appealing to you, try it!

Here’s hoping that you’re Merry again real soon!

My mom’s going to loan me her Miata convertible for a couple of days, so I’m going to take me a little vacation. Day trip, overnight trip - not sure. But I’m going to the beach! Granted, it will be a cold, windy, rainy beach, most likely, but it’s the damn beach that I haven’t been to for years and I’m going!

Dammit.

Enjoy the beach. Go and do a few things that make you happy.

Take a break, relax and then move on to Mr. SuperDuperWowieWhereHaveYouBeenMan.

and above all, have fun.

And maybe in December I’ll head out for London again, if I can afford it.

Stay in a hostel this time (though I will go back and patronize the hotel bar from last time, since they were so nice to me) and meet crazy Europeans.

The Young Man says he “doesn’t want to lose me” but he knows I need someone who’s more supportive, nurturing, and into me. He says he’ll fade to a happy memory, like most of my other boyfriends.

It’s hard, because I loved him more than he loved me. Frankly, that’s been pretty rare in my life. :frowning:

Chin up sweetie! Enjoy the cold, windy beach and think of warmer times to come!

Heh. “Sand Central” is your location…and I’d really like to go to Jordan, to see Petra. Too bad the flights are so expensive. And of course, the war.

Marhaba! Kaifa haluki?

(That was trying to be Arabic, and about all of it that I remember. I think I got the gender part correct though…)

Your Arabic recall is just fine sweetie! I have been wanting to go to Jordan for ages, but now we have a 5 month old daughter, so I think it will be a while before we get there. But if you want hot, we got plenty of that here in the Arabian/Persian Gulf - overnight minimums never drop below 87F (31C) in summer, so I will send you some warm summer wishes!

Well, if you do make it to Jordan, just hop on over across the river and pay me a visit, too!

Meanwhile, until this dream comes true, enjoy the beach. Let the waves wash your troubles out to sea…
