Srsly? I’m 72 and I only wish I could eat whatever I want. Apparently the only thing I can consume that doesn’t mess with me in some way is boiled cardboard. 
This morning I had a bowl of corn chex with lactose-free milk and my mouth and, to a lesser degree, my throat got all tingly and swelled up a bit. I’m pretty sure I’ve recently developed an allergy to milk, and not just lactose. Great! :mad:
Closing on the little house is around or about the 16th of next month. Then the projects will begin in earnest. Until then Wifey will be constantly asking me questions about what we’re gonna need, etc. and then arguing with me if my answers don’t agree with her notions. :dubious: It’s gonna be a long 3 weeks.

Supper was yum - meatloaf, broccoli, bi-color corn on the cob, and instant smashed N.O.T. (Judge ye not!!!) In a little while, we’ll drop off FCD’s car so it can be serviced tomorrow, and we’ll detour via DQ for a little dessert.
Then I’ll just knit till the day is done.
nettie, my dog lets me know whenever any of the neighbor dogs are being walked nearby. I too, have tried to convince him that he’s inside and they’re outside to no avail. He also occasionally barks at dogs and when someone knocks on a door on TV. Oy!
Moooooom, you done flung a cravin’ on me for ice cream in some form or another. I may have to step out for a vanilla cone later this evening.
Today was busy but totally manageable. I’m trying to prep for EoM so’s I can get some necessary changes done to one of the monthly reports. Given that it involves formulas, there will likely be cursing involved. 
Alas, the inlaws didn’t want DQ, so we just dropped the car off. Dammit.
Howdy Y’all! I accomplished a good amount of stuff today. Go Me! Sup ended up bein’ boxed lasagna (don’t judge!), sallit, and cheesey garlic bread. A tboomer came through around three this afternoon and cooled things down outside a bit so that was nice.

Evening all. Laundry is done and hung. Soccer for the 8-9 year olds has been accomplished, kids were pretty well-behaved (for 8-9 year olds) and I have a dad will to assistant coach. Even got a couple of drop of water from the sky to cool things down.
Bumba, I only drink (chocolate) milk when I get Krispy Kreme donuts; otherwise I’m a lactose-atheist.

How did some of the specimens I talked to today even manage to figure out MAKING a phone call??? Spent a large part of the day with a headache, my call handle time was horrific, and when my first call of the day was a 17-minute ordeal with someone who was absolutely determined to keep any of her neurons from firing and apparently had a major grudge against mine, it took some serious willpower to not go home right after that call. A day that starts like that is really not worth the toothpaste and shampoo to participate in.
Did have a much easier trip home than normal, since a very kind coworker was headed my way and decided she wanted to bring me home. MUCH nicer commute than RT.
Sup for me is an omelet. I think hubs had a sammich. Is it Firday evening yet? Tahred.
Worked, came home. Having Eastern BBQ pork tacos for dinner.

Good morning! Last work day of the week and the eve of the trek down I-95 to the hell that is Floriduh. We’re hoping to get on the road before 6 tomorrow, but it may still take till 9PM to get there - not looking forward to the trip at all.
On Sat, I’ll take MIL grocery shopping, and while out, I’ll get my Sonny’s sauce. Then we’ll leave some time on Sat afternoon, stop for the night in one of the Carolinas, and get home at a reasonable hour on Sunday. I hope. And with luck, we won’t need to return to Floriduh till Christmas.
But first, I have work today. Happy Thursday!

Morning all. Went to bed real tired and ready to sleep until 9am…and ended up out of bed before 6am. Nappage this afternoon is a definite possibility, especially with two soccer practices back-to-back this evening (5-6:30pm for the 10U and 6:30-8pm for the 12U). Heading for 94F today with a 50% chance of precipitation this evening. We’ll see if soccer get practiced or not.
Ah well. The garbage can is at the curb and the bed linen is finishing it’s wash cycle, so I have been productive (for me).

Other than that thinking about a nap at some point before irk. The AND decided midnight to 2am was the perfect time for run loud tools and spread noxious fumes across from our bedroom and AC unit. Sleep, needless to say, I am lacking somewhat again today. Just another reason I can honestly state I hate them.
I can pee on their house from our second floor window; I may just have to sometimes soon just because I can.

Got up Tootsday moaning; got home at a (time-zone-adjusted) 4am Thursday! :eek:
A little less excess leg room on the hop over the pond but was upgraded to business class I had 3½ windows of space & the seat that laid flat! 
Also had a bit of ice for the first time in almost three weeks…bathing in Mr. Johnnie Walker (Black).
Then I went to the (second building from the) corner pub & got what I missed most - a big glass of ice water* & a roast beast** sam’mich (What is the correct spelling of that word; sam’mich or sam’ich?) which I slathered in horseradish. Mmmmm. Stopped at the sto’ on the way home for some milk; either the truck didn’t come or the skinny cows are on strike because there wasn’t a single gallon of anything other than whole milk in the place.
- Science lesson of the day - ice is made from water; in a country where the water is not necessarily safe for the intestines to drink one doesn’t have ice. To make it worse, even their ‘chilled’ beverages were about 50°. It was even tough to get a cold Coke for some caffeineation; warm Coke tastes different because the carbonation effervesces at a different rate. I don’t do coffee; I do ice water in the morning so this was a major blow to my system.
** In India they call cows dieties; here we call them “tasty”! 
The 2 (carry-on sized) suitcases are unpacked & away & one load has been washed; however, there is still a big pile of assorted stuff in the middle of the floor; mostly souvenirs for others & other stuff that lives downstairs that needs to be put away. I’m currently at irk; need to do the expense report but am thinking I won’t make the whole day. Go home early, nap, deal with the rest of trip stuff & then go to run club because…beer(s) afterwards! May be going away tomorrer night & for the weekend, too so I mays hasta pull a bag out again.
