Iced tea and Lemonade, my contribution to the culinary world.

“Czarcasm’s dairy-based sweetened cocoa beverage.”

No ideas but it sounds quick to make.

That gives me a great idea! I’ll call it “Speedy”!

Inflammable means flammable? What a country!

Isn’t that a Davis Love III?

How is it with tequila?

The first one was so-so, the second one was a bit better, and the third one was terrific!

Try Arnold Palmer Spiked. 4.5% ABV and hits the spot on a hot summer day.

A proper John Daly is sweet tea flavored vodka with lemonade.

You don’t get out much, do you?

I almost never buy any new drinks. The standard sodas, juice, and sweet tea is just about it.

I haven’t bought a alcoholic or non-alcoholic cocktail in a club in over 16 years. It’s just not my thing anymore. My employer used to send us to conferences and we’d have a drink in the hotel lounge.

It’s not in that picture, but that’s not a requirement of an Arnold Palmer (I’ve never had one served like that one–it’s always been mixed). If there’s a difference, it’s that yours sounds like it doesn’t have a 50-50 ratio of lemonade to iced tea, but it’s hardly a unique idea. My friends and I were mixing lemonade and iced tea as kids before we even knew what an Arnold Palmer was (also, lemonade and Coke, lemonade and 7-Up, 7-Up and Coke, etc.) It surprises me you haven’t come across that combination before.

And, yes, “sparkling” means carbonated as in “sparkling water” and “sparkling wine.” Surely, you’ve encountered those?

What, is Prohibition still on? The essential third ingredient that is missing is vodka – which I see that some discriminating posters have already noted!

For a variation, try lemonade alone with vodka.

For another variation, forget both the lemonade and the iced tea, just have the vodka. Optionally add a “tipsy” onion – a miniature pickled onion that’s been marinated in vermouth.

This message brought to you by the makers and devoted consumers of Absolut. Skål!

I assume people at home have mixed up all sorts of juices, teas, and sodas.

One of my favorites is Sprite & OJ. It’s my family’s version of Orange Crush with real juice.

Hopefully a few people reading this thread didn’t already know about Tea & lemonade and will give it a try. They’re in for a treat.

I just wanted to share a cool recipe for a very hot summer day. The heat index here is 103 and we’re under a heat advisory for the next few days. I’ll be drinking a lot of cold water & iced tea.

I thought the OP was a bit of performance art. Wow.

Growing up (DC metro area, 80s) mixed soft drinks, generally from a self-serve fountain, was known as a “suicide.” I’ve also heard it referred to as swamp water, graveyard, garbage soda, kamikaze; I’m sure there are all kinds of other unique regional terms for it.

Chocolated milk?

I wonder if it would work with any other fluids, chocolated vodka perhaps. Or chocolated cough syrup.

I’m baffled. What did you think it meant? I guess I could see someone thinking it meant there were suspended sparkly flakes like Goldschlager, but surely you’ve tasted something labeled sparkling at some point in your life, and sensed the similarity to carbonated beverages?

I’ve had sparkling water at restaurants. It may have been lightly carbonated. I didn’t give it much thought. My main memory is it was a bit more refreshing than tap water.

It wasn’t anything like club soda or ginger ale.

Seriously, everyone knows about it.
