Iced tea and Lemonade, my contribution to the culinary world.

I only drink Diet Coke if I can have a wedge of lemon with it.

Also, I never have an Arnold Palmer with sweet tea…makes it waaaaaaay too sweet.

Ars Gratia Artless

Chocolate? Certainly not a “Fuzzy Zoeller”

All you people who put vodka in the lemonade are a buncha damned heathens–rum is a million times better. Also rum or tequila in limeade, it’s like that childhood you read about in books that aren’t meant for kids.

Is that another mix that you’ve pioneered?

I wonder how this would go with this new candy I’m working on: people like chocolate, people like peanut butter–how about some small cup that combines the two?

You just might have something there, Garrison, I was thinking making the cup out of the peanut butter would be way too messy then I had this eureka moment and I’m all “Wow, make the cup out of the CHOCOLATE instead!” I’m a genius!

Back in the 1970s that’s more or less how my family always made ice tea - instead of four scoops of powered iced tea per pitcher it was 3 scoops of iced tea and one of powered lemonade. I lived on that stuff every summer.

I remember as a child inventing a drink that involved mixing different pop varieties at random when I went to a restaurant. I think I named it a “homicide”.

No, I remember very clearly, you named it “Suicide”.

“Your” invention was one of my faves as a kid.

It could be a Mark Steffanhagen

Whoosh!
(I still do that sometimes)

Did you have an onion tied to your belt?

Why, you’d call it ‘milk chocolate’ of course!

Chocolate soy milk, kaluha, Tia Maria coffee liqueur, vodka, ice. Mmmmmmm.

In parts of the Caribbean sparkling water is the default with dinner. To request plain water you order your water “flat”.

I think there is a variant that is already popular. I stopped by my local McD’s a few days ago to grab a big $1 cup of water with ice. I was going to stop by the deli and buy a bottle of water and a cup of ice, then I remembered McD had the big $1 drinks and they have water as a selection in the soda tap.

Their soda taps are not extensive, maybe 8 flavors total. And only one of those flavors was non-standard. That flavor was a Sprite/Orange Fanta mix. So it must be popular.

Oh, yes…suicides. We made those all the time when I was a kid.

Ah, children. Won’t eat mac’n’cheese at a restaurant with their parents, because it looks slightly different than Kraft at home, but when given the slightest bit of freedom with their peer group, will happily drink the most disgusting combinations (see also, condiment mixing in the cafeteria)

Forgot to mention “still”. To order uncarbonated drinking water “flat” and “still” are adjectives you can use.

It was the style at the time.

The Aristocrats?

I honestly thought this was a joke topic so I kept skipping it. My loss.

I once mixed rum with a can of Coke. I called it “Rum and carbonated water with soda syrup added in”

All jokes aside, I invented a drink with candy floating in it. Beer with Skittles is what I call it.
