"If Chins Could Kill"

Last week 2 friends of mine took a trip to a Convention in Philly, where Bruce Campbell was signing his new book “If Chins Could Kill - Story of a “B” Movie Actor” (Our hero from The Evil Dead trillogy, Brisco County Jr, and Autolycus from Xena and Hercules)
Rumor has it that BC isnt the most pleasent person to try and get an interview from… well, here is their story…

J and Kev go to see Bruce Campbell. J, having the sence of humor he does, wanted to see if he could get BC to sing a bit of “Old Grey Mare” into his tape recorder. (not exactly sure why)
J says, while being pushed throuh the crowd:
“Mr Campbell! Could you please sing a bit of ‘Old Grey Mare’ for me?”
BC says “I dont know the words”
J starts to sing a bit of it
and BC says “Well, you seem to be doing good on your own there.”
and as J is getting pushed away down the line, he looks at BC and says “You are such an asshole.”
BC waves and says “Thankyou” (in his characteristic tone)
J yells “But your still cool anyway!”

other excerpts from the con include the question and answer section.
Woman asks “Can you say groovy!?”
He replies “No, but you can go home, get the tape, and hit play and rewind and play and rewind and hear it all you want.”
I must admit, I would probably get like that too if everyone kept asking me to say the same catch phrases over and over again…

oh and…

Later J and Kev went to McDonalds, and while standing in line J is saying “I can’t believe i called Bruce Campbell and asshole! …to his face!”
Kev looks around, looks at J and says “Hey man, you better keep it down, there are like 10 people standing around s with Army of Darkness T-Shirts on!”

First, I love Bruce Campbell.

Second, they do get tired of it. James Earl Jones spoke at my college years ago and gave a very impressive speech that had absolutely nothing to do with Star Wars. During the question and answer segment, some twit in the back yells something about “Say the line!”

Yeah. Way to make us look like an intelligent student body.

Mr. Jones very politely told him to that if he could catch him speaking about the effect of Darth Vader on racism or black history, he would be more than happy to repeat “the line”. Next question please.
