Persephone, how far are you from Windsor? You haven’t mentioned in this thread which city you are in.
I wish we had extra bedrooms, since we’re only 45 minutes away from Flint! I’d come, IF we’re not going to the Erie County Fair (wo-hoo! Largest county fair in the U.S.!!) that weekend.
Also, I’m less funny/witty/clever in person (hard to believe, I know) so everyone must agree to lower their expectations.
If she’s by Flint, it’s around 1.25 hrs from the tunnel straight up 75 (depending on how fast you drive).

Yeah, I guess I didn’t say exactly where I live, did I? I live in Flint, just a few miles from the I69-I75-US23 interchange, near Bishop Airport. The “southeast” side of town, they call it, I think.
KimKatt: little*bit is correct about the distance from Windsor. It’s only an hour or two from here, depending on construction (Michigan only has two seasons: winter and construction).
pipefitter: Auburn Hills is quite the short trip from here. In fact, I’ll be down that way the day after this fest–we’re going to see Santana at Pine Knob. 
little*bit: I am not a profile reader, so I don’t know where you live. But length of time on the board does not matter when it comes to attending these shindigs. Please come!
Cranky: If you can tear yourself away from the fair, I hope you can make it, too! Man, all of a sudden there’s just Michiganders crawling out of the woodwork! I love it!
BTW, we’re having a party regardless. There will be a few non-Dopers here as well. I’ve never actually been a hostess, and since I’m over thirty now, it’s about time I did something like this. However, I really, really would like as many Dopers to come as can make it. If there is a problem with sleeping arrangements (as I mentioned in the OP, that is the weekend of the Buick Open), you are free to crash on my floor/couch/bathroom/front room/backyard. I have central air, too, so if it gets too hot, you can cool off in the living room. I also have digital cable, so now I’ve got a gozillion channels, but there’s still nothing on.

Well, since I live only a few miles away, count me in. Hell, I’ll even bring beer and Mrs Xploder and any of my kids that happen to be around! Kids would be MORE than glad to watch yours! I might even bring one of my guitars!
p.s. don’t forget yer earplugs <eg>
If needed, I can bring a 4 room tent that sets up in about 5 minutes.
Milo: IIRC, “Aunt Beer’s husband” is going to Columbus the weekend before, and I doubt he’ll want to make two major drives like that in a week.

I’d love to come, but unfortunately I live in Washington (the state, not the city) and after I put new gutters on the house I won’t be able to afford to go to Vancouver (60 miles to the north,) let alone Michigan.
(Whine) I ALWAYS miss ALL the fun!
Maybe I should look into renting a nice apartment?
