When I was delivering papers I had to drive past a DD. The donuts were delivered on big baker’s racks every morning. One morning nobody was working the store and the birds were pecking holes in the plastic wrap to get at the donuts.
I used to like DD, but anymore it seems like no matter what I get, it tastes like coffee.
They are still better than KK though.
Howdy Y’all! Home from deheathenization and N.O.L./Brunch. Nice crowd today. Then again it was a combined service. Four years ago today the Luteruns joined up with us Whiskeypalians. Thus, the first Sunday in September is a traditional joint worship day. If you do it two years in a row it’s a tradition. If you do it four years in a row it’s a BY GOD tradition.
'Tis all cloudy out so I foreesee nappage instead of cee-mint pond time.
KK is the supreme of all donuts.
KK donuts are neither krispy nor kremey! ![]()
We ran an errand, then went to a place called Mama Roma’s for a late lunch. We’ll never make that mistake again. I got a fettuccine dish that was supposed to have shrimp, scallops, and crab in it. Well, 2 shrimps (with tails on - what a mess!!) a half a scallop cut into pieces, and a few shreds of crab. Mostly just pasta and sauce. Not impressed.
**FCD **got their lasagna - he wasn’t impressed either. We both agreed we won’t go back there.
I’ve replaced one toilet seat, and I’m about to do the other. Laundry tomorrow - chillage for the rest of today, just because. ![]()
DD > KK
That’s all there is to say about that
And you would know this how? ![]()
ruble, was your perusal merely for laughs?
Mooooom and sari, you’ve obviously never gotten a glazed donut from KK when the hot light was on. ![]()
My bike was trailered and delivered today. I think I’m going to keep it here rather than thirty miles away until winter. He brought the cover and my helmet too, then we went for a ride. I’m beginning to learn the backroads around here (this will come in when traffic sucks) and we found a nice little Korean place over by the Fud Kitty where we had lunch. Their bulgogi was good, but the real star of the show was their varieties of kimchi. Yum!
Around here, a small local grocery chain has what I believe to be the best donuts in the county. Fortunately, they’re not open when I’m on my way to work, or I’d weigh 500# already. OMG, are they amazing pastries!!!
There was a place in Fredericksburg whose name I can’t recall, but they had the best donuts! Every once in a while, someone would bring them in to the office and bliss would ensue!!
“Niggers!” “Chinks!” “Faggots!” Man, it’s amazing what they used to be able to say in the movies. Comedy movies, at that; not something like Reservoir Dogs. It’s also amazing how poor picture quality used to be; not sharp & vivid HD like we have today. It was also interestin’ to know what’s comin’ up but still havin’ the audience laugh out loud at it. Bunch a juveniles we were.
That’s twice in two days you’ve disappointed me. ![]()
DD < KK or
**KK > DD **
There, I fixed it for ya, Rosie
I’ve only ever stopped to buy them when the HOT light was on.
I’ve had hot KK, but as I’ve said, they are neither Krispy nor Kremey. They’re just greasy and overly sweet. ick.
I think I want permanent 3-day weekends. I like knowing that I’ve got tomorrow off!
Still at work while they are shampooing the carpet. Is it Beer O’clock yet?

This afternoon I have accomplished nappage and played words with friends on facebook. Dindin was eat whatever you find if you’re hongry cause we both had a hyuuuuuuuuuuuuge N.O.L. A little while ago I realized OYKW does not have to irk tomorrow. I told him I had just realized I have to put up with him all day for an extra day. He told me to climb a ladder and get over it.
Are they doing a conditioner rinse too?
Because Rosie lives on Lawn Guilandt, which is in the [del]side that won[/del] North:

Yes but you’ve been known to type wearing hockey gloves. ![]()
Exaggerated for comedic effect but I was reasonably buzzed.
And it did sound like a good idea at the time to sign up for some extra shifts. :smack:
She’s right, you know.
We have something called Duck Donuts, which I think is also in North Carolina. These are very fresh vanilla donuts with your choice of toppings, icings, and drizzles. They are quite expensive and it’s a good thing I have my donut monkey on a very short leash because I can see these becoming an addiction. A sweet, sweet addiction.
I mostly finished a side project. I’ll have it done tomorrow, at which time I’ll be paid. Yay for money!
But really only Mel if you think about it. For some reason he got away with stuff no-one else would try. Yeah, different folks pushed envelopes and buttons but usually just one or two a movie, or as a filmed live stage act. Mel broke everything and lambasted everyone ----- and got away with it. We very seriously may never see his kind again.
I give you this for some Sunday evenin’ entertainment. This little critter has been makin’ the rounds in southwest Jawja for about three weeks now. I think its now makin’ a game of it and sayin’ “Neener, neener, neener! You can’t catch me!” ![]()
Swampy. I thought it would be a Nauga for some reason.
Thank God for holidays. I get to spend mine deciding what to pack, ironing and packing for my trip to WDW otherwise know as “let’s see if we can kill the Butter’s with long ass days”.
I have been lazy today and yesterday. I did cook supper and sort of cleaned after. I binge watched a season of American Crime on Netflix. Was OK. I downloaded a new book to read in the air. I am really anxious about this trip and not in a good way. I think this will be my last work travel as I will send new clerk next time. It really should be for front line staff but I had no one I could send this trip.
Happy Labor Day all you Mumpers.
Your mother wears Cooperalls!
I can honestly say ---- not my monkey, not my circus. ![]()
Then she’s retro!

The new design, dubbed Cooperalls, was supposed to make for a lighter uniform. It made players faster all right – especially when they were upended and slid on the ice. The league quickly recognized the hazard the long pants created and outlawed them after the 1982-83 season.
