I worked, I came home and made Thai curry salmon with cauliflower and rice. Tomorrow is another Firday for me.

Gotta go to bed fairly soon. For some “God alone knows why” reason, if the last day of a month falls on a weekday, we get to run on East Coast time that day. This means being at irk at 5am, aka “disgusting o’clock”. For bonus points, had to wheedle a lift from a teammate, since public transit doesn’t run early enough to get me there on time and DH needs the car (I will give nice teammate some gas money).
Tomorrow will involve lots of caffeine. Also going to bed quite early to recuperate. At least Friday’s a half day. At this point, I’ll take a few less hours of irk in exchange for some extra personal time. Got a three-day weekend coming up, too. WITH pay for Monday. Wow.

I thought I had posted earlier, but I guess not.
It was a fairly busy day for me today.
I fell asleep around 9:30, woke up just after 10, and now I’m awake.
My friend didn’t stop by on her way home from MI, shame when 70 is only a few miles from my house. I’m sure she just wanted to get home though.
I finally caught up with my friend that has the warrant out on her. I was starting to worry, although I’m sure one her daughter would call me if she had been arrested. She called the police to see if there is a warrant out on her and they told her she’d have to come in to see, and if she does they will arrest her and then she can find out what it’s for.
She contacted legal aid. We’ll see what happens.

I had to take my desktop to the computer hospital. It’s got a 99.9999999% probability of being the power supply, which isn’t all that bad, but in any case today it was completely refusing to start up. It wouldn’t even make any noise, and the little led in the power switch didn’t come up. Maybe it just wanted to go on vacation?
Very apt in more than one way (also doing my colonoscopy prep). 
Hope computer can be fixed easily.
Just got off the phone with the PC Doctor, it was the power source indeed and he even had the right part. Yay.
Up, caffeinated, and sheveled. I need to stop on the way home from work ,and get coffee beans ,and a new UPS for my PC, since it’s going FUBAR PDQ.

My buddy Mel did me a solid last night! 
About 7:40, I threw in the towel and went to bed… sorta. After taking my usual meds and some melatonin, I lay down to watch 3rd Rock From the Sun (that show cracks me up!!) and about 8:30, I turned the TV off. I know I woke once to pee, and the next thing I knew, it was 4:40 and **FCD **was punching my pillow! :eek:
I don’t know what he was dreaming, but lucky for me, I sleep on a wedge so there was no chance he’d punch me. Still, that’s not the way you want to wake up. I’m sure when I talk to him later, he’ll have no memory of the dream. Despite the rude awakening, I did get some much-needed sleep, so yay!
**Nettie **- end-of-month here requires a separate time card. Even tho our pay week runs from Friday noon to Friday noon (gummint contract requirement or some silly thing) - anyway, for whatever reason, we don’t have 2 months on one time card, so today’s will close out August, and tomorrow, we start a new one for Sept. What’s fun is when the 1st of the month falls on Friday - we do a 4-hour time card from Friday morning, then the next week’s time begins with the last 4 hours of Friday. I don’t try to understand. I just do as I’m told.
Fun tasks at work - I’m creating models of equipment that will be installed in an instrument panel and the center console of this helicopter. They don’t have to be exact, since no one will build from them. They just have to look like the real thing. I have a very expensive multi-purpose display sitting on my desk that I have to turn into a reasonable computerized representation. That means I don’t have to sweat exact dimensions - it’s just got to look good. I can make it look good.

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 73 Amurkin and clear with a predicted high of 93 and partly cloudy for the day. If’n the WPTB are right we should get lots of rain tomorrow and Firday. We shall see. No real big plans for the day other than makin’ unstuffed cabbage rolls and cornbread for dindin.
OK, that’s all I got. I need more caffeine and rumbly tummy demands sustenance. I suppose I should clean up somewhat as well. Or go back to sleep for a bit. I can do that now.

I got the patio pavers ordered yesterday, and all the materials printed/cut/stuffed for our annual Murder Mystery Party in a few weeks. And this time I did it without accidentally finding out who the victim or the killer is, so it will all be a nice surprise, come party night.
I neglected to do the thing where I emptied the dishwasher and cleaned bits of the house, but I neglect that all the time.

I bought a Christmas tree yesterday. I have been stalking a flocked tree for quite some time and found the perfect one yesterday. No, it is not up, it is in the box in the garage until the day after Thanksgiving. I love fall and refuse to skip from summer into Christmas.
Today I am sweeping the spider webs/cob webs off the front porch today and putting a photo sensor in the light fixture. Hey, I’m excited! The hoomidity is abating and the high today is predicted to be 78. YES!!!

I got almost no sleep last night, I think I was up every hour.
I feel like hell this morning.
It’s sunny and 75 outside, supposed to get up to 89.
The back yard got mowed yesterday, the front yard will get done today.
I have no idea what this about, but yesterday a woman in a white car parked across the street from me, sat there for a bit, then made a u-turn and left.
What I wonder about it, this is not the first time I’m seen her park across the street, sit for a while, and then leave. Usually she is a little further up the street but those parking spots were taken.
If she is a detective of some sort she’s not very good at it. I don’t got out front very often, so for me to notice it has to be pretty obvious.
Nava, Doggio, I’m curious as to how this whole legal thing is going to turn out. It has my friend pretty upset, but I expect it to turn out to be nothing serious.
Been awake and puttering around the house. Other than that pretty much same old same old. Having a strange noise from the car and will be starting a thread about it elsewhere in IMHO.
Go outside and take pictures of her.
And don’t be even a little subtle about it.
Lunch Break! Even wasting some time surfing, I’ve just about finished modeling the display. So I’ll have to hit up the boss for something else to do. Hope I can find him.

I have done a good deed. JDD (he’s retired as well) called me and asked if I’d ride with him up to his folks house in Parrot, Jawja so he could take their car down to Dawson to leave at the dealership as the power steerin’ is actin’ up. So I did and now I’m back. We also stopped by the nursin’ home to see his folks and they liked that. So, double good deed! Go Me! ‘Tis all cloudy and misty out. Here’s hopin’ the rain comes on in this afternoon.
