There are ways to rebel against your government outside of armed insurrection.
Dopers pride themselves on being clever, so put that intelligence to good use and come up with ideas that pit the system against itself.
For instance I’ve already seen the idea floated that, should there somehow actually be a registry for Muslims, just have millions of people register. I would certainly be willing to take that step, and a few others besides.

Clearly you know nothing about the teachers, shopkeepers and clerks who fought tanks in the Hungarian civil war of the mid-1950s. It was short, it was brutal, and of course they couldn’t stand up to the entire might of the USSR, but anyone who runs up onto a tank to throw a molotov through its viewport is neither soft-handed nor effete.
And anyone smart enough to run up and stick a rebel flag on a tank so the other tanks blow it to pieces can be as effete as they like.

STOP making it personal. You push people and they’re completely capable (obviously) of saying, “I’d rather see it burn down then vote for your candidate” And stop attacking non-voters and third party voters too.

I am not a Democrat or a democrat and did not support either of the major parties or their candidates in 2016.

Accepting refugees and immigrants fleeing from war and tyranny is exactly what one would expect from the leader of the free world. In fact, the US was inundated by people from foreign cultures in huge numbers from 1880 to the 1920s, which is one of the things that made the country great in the first place.

It makes perfect sense from the “Eurabia” believers who don’t consider Middle Easterners fleeing wars to be refugees, but invaders intending to take over Europe and turn it into a bigger version of ISIS. Therefore, anyone who supports the “free world” has to oppose the immigration of Islamic people, because they intrinsically oppose freedom.
Remember “They hate us for our freedoms”? Same sort of attitude.
