My go to list of why Stannis has my support:
He rolls around with a crew of badass smugglers and pirates and a sexy foreign witch.
He promotes people based on merit, not on who their father was.
Her refuses to not give people credit for their accomplishments, but he also refuses to not insult people when they deserve it. He literally thinks it would be unethical not to insult them.
Stannis has sex on a table shaped like a giant map of the country he plans to conquer.
Stannis blows a load so hard that 2 weeks later the woman gives birth to a fully grown shadow man that assassinates his political rivals.
His pre-battle inspirational speech was one sentence long and was really more of an order than a speech. It was still the most inspiring thing we’ve seen on the show so far.
Stannis is always angry. You’d be pissed off too if you had to live in Westoros. It’s kind of a terrible place.
Actually Stannis “dumped his gods” when he was 13, when his father and mother were killed in a ship off of Storm’s End. He decided he couldn’t follow any gods who would allow that to occur.

The books… Storm of Swords, IIRC, which according to the OP is fair game.
While she is indeed awesome we don’t see anything of her outside of her role as basically bodyguard, so we have no idea how she well she would do in politics.
Although he doesn’t fulfill one of the main requirements of candidacy, not being extant upon this mortal plane, I would have voted for The Hound, his presidency would be entertaining if nothing else, with Arya as VP.
Actually for a serious answer, although he makes some…ummmm…morally questionable choices I think Jamie Lanister would be a good President, with Brienne as his VP. Though nobody in Westeros would vote for the Kingslayer I suppose. :\

I voted for Jon Snow, though I have to admit that I would prefer the speeches of Hodor.
