If you could have three wishes, what would they be?

  1. To bring back my twenties, so I could undo the mistakes I made back then.

  2. Take me back to grade six so I would stand up to the person who made my life hell back then.

  3. Bring back my grandfather who died when I was seven that I didn’t have a chance to know that well.

  1. To have, without negative side effect, the knowledge necessary to use my two remaining wishes to maximum benefit of myself and those I care about, including full knowledge of any and all ramifications and repercussions, both positive and negative, direct and, of course, indirect.

As long as this doesn’t make my head explode, I’m good to go.

1.) To be married to my one true love.

2.) Musical talent.

3.) A bong that never runs out.

Um, wouldn’t that mean that you’d get married to your bong?

my wishes:

  1. To have the initiative to finish my book, but not let it interrupt my studies or personal life.

  2. If possible, more wishes. If not, wish that what ever allowed me to wish (Djinn, monkey’s paw, DM) would allow more wishes.

3 to X-1)Whatever I want (#3 starting with more wishes if the second #2 was granted)

X) To release the djinn, monkey’s paw, or DM and not allow anyone to ever use it again.

Or, if #2 and #3 to X fail, then keep #1, and add money (and not let anyone question as to its whereabouts, or its sudden appearance) and, oh I don’t know, a TV station that plays whatever I want at any time by reading my mind (I could even interrupt programs still running. But it would only recieve thoughts I sent it, so it wouldn’t keep switching every time I thought of a different TV show)That’s all.

What exactly does DM mean?

If you use my first outlined plan, the book one, the necessity for extra wishes is eliminated, people!

–Tim

DM = Dungeon Master from the game Dungeons & Dragons.

When players would get a chance to make a wish, the DM would generally take the cue to twist the wish around in some fashion. “I wish for a million gold pieces!” “Ok, you get the entire treasury of King So-and-so who sends his elite guard of 500 15th level Fighter/Magic Users weilding +5 swords and staffs of ungoldly might to get his money back” “I wish that all my enemies were dead!” “Ok, you go 10,000 years into the future where all of your enemies are now long dead and find yourself on a blasted, wasted planet due to the God-Wars from 5,000 years ago” so on and so forth.

  1. A few more days with my Grandma Maxie. I miss her.

  2. Musical Talent

  3. A properly working body that didn’t need meds.

I wish but for once, to wish for 100 more wishes that I may fulfil all your wishes.

Just one wish…
To be married to my one true love!!!

My first wish would be for the knowledge of what I should use my other 2 wishes for.

O.K., that’s a cop-out to your question, so ignoring my previous statement:

  1. The power to heal people (myself included) instantly with a touch, with the stipulation that this is also a continuos (did I spell that right?) unconcious reflex on myself, thus insuring I’m immortal and cannot be harmed by some religious nutbar.

  2. The ability to travel at will (with complete control and an infinite # of times, and carrying whatever I want with me) thru time to any point and geographical location on Earth, while also being able to fit in with the general populace (so I could speak the language and would look like I belong); thus the knowledge contained in the library of Alexandria would be saved.

  3. Proof that everyone on Earth would accept of the existence (or non-existence) of God, along with the CLEAR AND UNAMBIGUOUS knowledge (should He/She exist) of what we should be doing to carry out His/Her plan.

I could never understand why anybody would wish for anything else other than unlimited wishes.

Then, I would give my other two wishes away.

xo

To live forever with perfect health in a body that didn’t need food or sleep.

To find $1,000 every day.

To have a CD of every Andrew Lloyd Webber cast recording ever made past, present, and future.

My first wish would be that there would be no negative repercussions from my next two wishes…

Then I think I’d wish to be able to get a good job doing something I loved and nice apartment in NY. (Would those count as two?)

If I couldn’t be guaranteed the first, then I wouldn’t go with any of them.

I can’t believe no one’s said my first one:

  1. Flight (Like peter pan, but not having to think happy thoughts. I think that just being able to fly is a happy enough thought for me).

  2. Extreme Proficiency in every musical instrument known to man (especially bass guitar).

  3. To truly understand what’s going on in my life around me.

Hmmmm…

See the X-Files episode, “Je Souhaite.” Scene 14 contains the punchline. . . or maybe Scene 15 where Mulder gets the jinni to discuss what she’d wish for . . .
