Is this what heaven is like, a re-hash of life on earth? I was expecting a perfect thread full of answers to my legal homework constructed in iambic pentameter using Buffy references.
Isn’t that precious? He thought he deserved to go to heaven.
:snicker snicker snicker:
So you think we should lynch him?
This isn’t Heaven, it’s a cursed existence where we are all doomed to battle and kill and die each day, only to be reborn the next day and do it again, for all eternity.
Val-howl-a, huh?
Oh come on! See what I did there? Valhowla? ValHOWLa? Huh? Huh?
Philistines, the lot of you.
I laughed.
Hey, I had a thought–I wonder if it’d be an underhanded way to gain information on the last werewolf or two by noticing when the votes seemed to come in and relating that to the timezone of their location field.
Unless they came in while RT was sleeping or working or something and didn’t tell us for awhile.
Plenty of people don’t have an actual location listed, and even if they did, they might be online at odd hours. I can’t see that being especially useful.
I barked with laughter.
Interesting. When this thread is at the top of IMHO and you’re looking at the board list it’s titled is given as “…”
yawn Drove up to Humboldt to visit my Mom this weekend. I probably would’ve put money on the game being over by now, if I were the betting type.
Captain Karrot is 100% confirmed townie, and I’m surprised nobody has picked up on that yet. After RT sent roles out, he added 3 more players. Karrot, kytheria/dnooman, and moonstar. moonstar is confirmed townie, dnooman is confirmed wolf. No way that 2 out of the 3 late-adds would be wolves.
To me, that is not 100% confirmation, though it’s an intriguing theory.
One possible hole in it - are we sure that the roles sent out were set in stone? Could RT have sent an alteration later… “Sorry for the confusion, but I’m making you a mason instead of a werewolf.”
Depends when people find out who their fellow Masons/werewolves are, of course.
No roles were changed, i’ll say that much. Once the emails were out, no-one has been switched to a diffferent role. And when people have joined partway through, in the case of dnooman and unfinished symphony, they took on the roles of the people they replaced.
Regarding getting an idea from when I post the results of the night; Menocchio’s right. Sometimes i’ll be on when the vote is made, and i’ll post it straight away. Sometimes i’m sleeping or at uni, so I post it later. I don’t think it’s a good way of guessing werewolves.
Bolding=mine
RT, you slipped up! I am surprised no one else caught this yet.
I am not surprised that their is only one wolf left.
Although, I was wondering about the possibility that a wolf could be among the masons. A common mafia variation is “Monks and Masons” where there is mafia and werewolves as bad guys, and masons and monks as well as townies and other roles. The monks are all NOT werewolves but could be mafia, and the masons are all NOT mafia but could be werewolves.
RT would be deviously evil if he made one werewolf a mason. The town’s strategy would fall apart when they lynch the three “unknowns” and yet the game continued. IF that is the case, this game is far from over.
If that’s the case then what would keep that Wolf/Mason from revealing who the other masons were during the night? Wouldn’t be smart to kill the other two masons immediately?
By the way, a somewhat silly thought occured to me. I think that as a straight dope tradition, in all further games of werewolf, the Guardian Angel should instead be refered to as a Guardian Ogre.
Not so much in honor of our own Ogre… but who doesn’t love the image of an Ogre surreptitiously slipping forth from his hovel and trying to protect the townspeople from werewolves?
…and getting torn apart by a pack of werewolves in a long, tragic, slow-motion camera shot?
