Hey, don’t take it personally… I think she’s a bit, um, overinvested in the game? Is the nice way to say it.

Winston, I totally understand your role claim. I almost, ALMOST claimed to be the Seer before I got lynched. Maybe I should have done it. Would have really shaken things up.

I also love the fact that they’re still trying to parse out what I said and gain clues from it as to who is and who isn’t a werewolf… bwahaha! I may have gotten my ass lynched too early, but…

Not so…
Those that are playing the game are deeply immerssed in it… the game “consumes” you, as I have found in my own game, over at mafiascum.net. One can easily skim past the parts they have read several times, and a reread of 20 pages could take less then an hour.

Also, I have thought about how I would organize data if I was in a 20+ person game… I would copy every post to a word document, trim out posts about raisens and bacon, and keep commentary along the way. I would not need to wait on the laggy SDMB when doing a reread, and I could easily find voting paterns by searching for “vote:”

Ruby: would have been a great play. The only way to counter that is for the real seer to come forth, then the GA’s protection is monopolized by the seer to keep him/her alive. One of your former partners can use that strategy later on, but if they wait too long, the real seer will have too much info the spill, and the wolves won’t have a chance.

That last post by MadtheSwine looks suspicious to me. That bit to sturmhawke about, “I’ve valued your insight until now, but if you think I’m a werewolf…” comes off as manipulative to me. Could be nothing, but it’d be enough to swing my vote his way.

That is, it would if the damned wolves hadn’t made off with all my viscera.

Here’s the problem: how long would I have before I had to give up another werewolf? I mean, there’s only so long that would fly, and I was afraid I’d give away more dirt that way. I figured, just take my lynching like a woman and that’s that. Might have been more fun to lie but I was afraid I wouldn’t be able to pull it off.

Yes, I implied that in my post, but that didn’t come through… I think a little down the road, it could be a good play. Either when the wolves are on their last leg and need a miracle, or when the wolves are very close to winning it and they just need one townie lynch to tip the scales.

Count me /in for the next game. I think a player cap of 35 would be resonable, but include a Vigilante and a Serial Killer to move the game along faster.

I wouldn’t be surprised if we’re closing in on that number already. chrisk asked to join on Feb 14. I asked on 02-23-2007, 11:59 PM.

Well, appearantly I suck at this game… :stuck_out_tongue: But I have a better grasp of things for the next round.

I believe Sturmhawke to be the Seer. I was alluding to him in one of my last posts. Surprisingly, you guys were on top of that in the first page of this thread. And I still contend that Richard Parker is a wolf.

This thread has been tempting me every time I come into IMHO, and now I can finally read it!

You were eaten partially because you were too good. Along with some other comments that raised some unibrows, you became a seer suspect.

Success in this game depends not only on actually being able to spot your prey, bust keeping a low profile. Werewolves will take out people they see as the most threatening.

Winston Smith’s mason claim was crazy for one reason.

He’s a townie, and challenged another townie (wanderers). He went after the only confirmed townie, and if his accusation somehow worked out, it would end up working against him in the end. Instead of Winston getting killed, the town would kill wanderers, then winston. Even if Winston completely gave up, he’d havea better chance of winning than to attack the one and only confirmed town.

It’s all very crazy and I don’t get what he did… it’s almost like winston sabotaged himself.

That Richard Parker looks scummy as he looks to be fishing for power roles.

Also, count me in for the next game?

looks like the villagers are gonna send jsgoddess our way pretty soon. about damn time.

On MiseTings, where I generally play, one guy wrote a Xml program to download the information out of the php database, and essentially run your own little board. You can make notes, highlight things, keep track of players with little flags and color-coding, etc. It’s a highly useful device. Sadly, it’s hardcoded to only work on that site, although he’s promised a new version that will wok anywhere…

If I’m reading this right, then I finger-pointed at someone accurately. Richard Parker had me the most suspicious. If he is a werewolf, Damn them all for not believing me!!

Looks like not, unless sturmhawke can be shown for a liar.

I found this confluence kinduv funny:

What an interesting turn of events. I’m enjoying the werewolf game just as much now as before they beheaded me. Anyone care t o speculate on Kat’s chances of surviving this?

Something like the old-fashioned ‘natural twenty for critical parry’ (IE, 5%.) That’s including the possibility that someone will counterclaim sturmhauke.

I guess we’ll be welcoming OAOW to the thread soon.

What if Sturmhawke and JSGoddess are the only two remaining wolves?

Nah… **Menocchio’s ** comments in this thread would seem to indicate that sturmhauke is definitely not a wolf, and is probably in fact the Seer.

I think dnooman is one of the remaining wolves. His most recent post is pushing suspicion in the direction of the likely Seer in a way that sounds a bit… excessive. In particular, he says:

Why would this be true? The wolves are unlikely to target sturmhauke at all in the coming night - given that the GA will probably cover him - so they will eat someone altogether different. dnooman seems to be setting up an argument that the wolves failing to target sturmhauke will mean that sturmhauke is himself a wolf, which is an argument, it seems to me, that only a wolf would have cause to make.
