Ignoring banned poster (and discourse bug?)

So as a test, I tried to put a poster that has been permanently suspended on Ignore. The typeahead would not recognize the user name to give me an option to “select” it, although the name is still in the box.

Then, when I tried to Ignore the user anyway, it gave me the error message “please select a time frame” even though I had selected a time frame. I think it’s pretty weird that it recognizes that it needs to validate the user name (even though the user name is valid), but gives me a different error.

Has this issue been resolved to your satisfaction? I just successfully placed a BANNED user on “Ignore.”

That just worked when I clicked on the user name and then on their status on the upper right. I didn’t try it through my user panel. Before, I don’t think anything popped up when I clicked on their user name, so either something has changed, or it was something unique about that user that let me do it, or I didn’t find the right place to click the last time.
