Il mio viaggio in Italia, an MMP

That’s awful! I’m glad you made the cut-- all those late nights made you valuable… guess that’s good!

I’ll probably be up at midnight waiting on results!!!

::waves frantically::

Its. A. Weasel! Granted, a very cute weasel, but a weasel nonetheless.
I voted, therefore I get to complain about the outcome.

I’m debating staying up late to see the results of the election, but I have a feeling I’ll probably conk out at 10pm since I haven’t slept very well the past few nights and I’m still adjusting to daylight savings.

I know that I can’t affect the outcome just by keeping tabs on it, but a little part of me believes that if I ignore the whole darn thing, I’ll wake up tomorrow and find out McCain won by a landslide. Yes, I’m weird. And paranoid. And most definitely NOT a Republican.

For my 'Murican friends, this pic from NYC seems appropriate to share today. I’ll probably post a few more later tonight or sometime tomorrow… I took LOTS of pix. (The Boy has started posting his already because he’s a keener… they’re over here)

NC has a new senator.

That means it’s time to go drink at the pub.

snerk A Boise newscaster just said, referring to voters in that area, “The voters come in spurts, don’t they!” Yes, yes, they do. The men, anyway. And a few of the women.

(so far) Chicago had behaved itself. I am so proud of my city! Incredible night.

Sorry to see you take a break, LiLi, but I can understand it, too. I go through phases where all I read and post to is the MMP. And I’m another one who checks your blog regularly…

Hey, Dots! What’s up? Are you still in high school? Come back and give us details!

::Waves at Dotty, kai, and other intermittent Mumpers.::

I’ve been watching and listening to election coverage in proud amazement. I have to say that McCain’s concession speech was impressive and sounded much more like the McCain I could have voted for a few years back.

But I’m thrilled to be able to get past the election finally!

I’m taking tomorrow off because I’ve put quite enough time into work for one pay period. I’m still going to come out way ahead of the usual 80 hours for this two weeks, but being off tomorrow will make it a bit less ridiculous.

Gotta go finish reading something…

Back in the morning.

GT

Well, good morning America, and congratulations!

Now just to find out when our own f***ing elections are going to be held (probably roughly around US Inauguration… Still under consideration in parliament) – and to hope (and try help make sure) that the Right Wing doesn’t win here. Much taller order…

I got caught up in that peaceful overthrow Soapy mentioned.

Never did I think I’d see this happen.

Wow.

Just got home from my boy’s birthday celebration–he got his birthday president! We’re all just delirious, tear streaked and with aching jaws from grinning like loons. Wow, just wow–I love my country today, yes I do! We did it, we really did it…

Lack of internet access meant I wasn’t able to find out the results until I got in the car this morning. If it hadn’t been for that I probably would have spent more time on cnn.com than WoSW last night :stuck_out_tongue:

Mo’ sigline!

I am overwhelmed…

Hi, my fellow mumpers!!!

I’d like to borrow a quote from Craig Ferguson that he uses every night to open his show.

“It’s a great day for America, everybody!”

A great day, indeed.

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’ here. I did not stay up. Goin’ to bed early won out. I’m pleased with how the election came out but mostly I’m pleased that it’s over. Hopefully, in a few days, the talkin’ heads will find sump’n else to talk about. I’m all electioned out!

Time for more caffiene and brekkies. Then purtification for work. I might purtify and go get some brekkies. Sounds like a plan!

Later Y’all!

Up and caffeinating - later than usual as I stayed up last night, listening to celebrations and Obama’s speech. Amazing!

More later today when I’ve more time. YAY!

I’m sick. Of the election, and the outcome.

Join the club. Most of my state needed to be Baker acted.

NOTHING we voted for came to be.

We reap what we sow.

Wonder how much 401k money is moveing to mattresses in the next two months?

Why wait two months Vorlon, I’m hitting the bank when it opens.

No matter what the result, I just hope the man does a good job.

I had no idea it’d be called before 9:30 my time. I got more sleep last night than I ever figured I would!

In other news…I’m up after staying up entirely too late, watching election results and editing a document for work and…I HAVE THE DAY OFF!!!

I have a list of things I need to do, starting with getting tags for my car, since they expire on Monday. I’ll also be hanging out in the garden and maybe finishing off my front steps, since this is the last day the temperatures will be conducive to working with cement.

We’ll see what I can actually get done…

First stop: breakfast.

Happy Wednesday!!!
