I solved today’s Redactle (#55) in 29 guesses with an accuracy of 51.72%.

This was my second time playing…I did game #54 in 50 guesses, so my second one was an improvement! That can change quickly though. :wink: Not sure that I’ll play daily, but I think I like it better than Semantle, which I found just took way too long.

Should the title to this thread also include Redactle? I came in here to see what was being said about Semantle, and then saw the posts about Redactle (hadn’t heard of that one before). Maybe more people would post their scores and comments on Redactle if they knew that game is in here too?

Just for old time’s sake I will throw in today’s Semantle score:

I solved Semantle #123 in 21 guesses. My first guess had a similarity of 2.73. My first word in the top 1000 was at guess #2. My penultimate guess had a similarity of 19.31.

That makes sense - if @D18 agrees, they could ask Chronos or another mod to change the title (“plus Redactle!” or somesuch).

Also: I solved today’s Redactle (#56) in 50 guesses with an accuracy of 64.00%. Median is currently 65.

To my surprise, this article had what I felt was a big reveal that was unredacted out the gate. The words were “through to the next round” and that told me it could be about a game. I didn’t notice it until after my 5th word and so I put ‘game’ in for my next word, but only got 1 hit. Hmmm. Then I did ‘sport’ and got 13 hits…ok getting somewhere. Then seeing the short word in the title and throughout the article too (along with “an” in front of it a few times), I took a guess at ‘ice’…jackpot! Solved it from there and got my first under ten guesses win (could be my first and only - lol).

I did not enjoy today’s semantle. I thought it was a poor word choice.
